I Partied With Charlie Sheen…actually it was Richie Rich!

The picky girl in me wishes this was a burnout, rocker, v-neck tee (that looks like it had partied all night with Charlie Sheen), but that doesn’t negate from the hilarity of the messaging.

And amidst all the Charlie Sheen controversy Jac Vanek is genius for creating this t-shirt. Do you realize how many people joined twitter alone just to follow Charlie Sheen’s tweets? Okay, neither do I, but it’s a lot! The  limited edition ‘I PARTIED WITH CHARLIE SHEEN’ t-shirt ($24) is available in Small, Medium, or Large Adult unisex sizes. Speaking of partying last night, I did with designer, Richie Rich at The Fifth Annual Texas Hold’Em Poker Night to benefit The Children’s Storefront (check them out, they’re amazing!). While the rest of the room was gambling, we we’re busy sitting on chairs we shouldn’t have sat on, doing tequila shots I’d rather forget, dancing by ourselves and having the loveliest time. Although I expect it’s next to impossible not to have a great time with Richie Rich– he’s so welcoming and fun oriented. He loves his glitter and I love him. Now how do I get an ‘I Partied with Richie Rich’ t-shirt? Preferably one with lots and lots of glitter?

Cheers to you Richie Rich, thank you for making my night!

Celebrate Starbucks 40th Anniversary with VIA Tribute Blend

To commemorate it’s 40th anniversary today, Starbucks is launching a new limited edition VIA Ready Brew flavor, Starbucks Tribute Blend. The latest edition to the VIA family is a combination of four different beans – aged Sumatra, sun-dried Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea, and Colombia.

If you haven’t gotten in on the VIA Ready Brew instant coffee craze yet (and you enjoy Starbucks coffee), I suggest you try them. Some of you may remember my post on being converted from a skeptic to an instant coffee fan (thanks to VIA). They are freakishly similar to their brewed coffee –but all you need to do to a VIA is pour the packet into a cup of hot water. It’s incredibly convenient for anyone on the go or who travels a lot. Plus it comes in a variety of existing Starbucks flavors so you’re not pigeonholed in your options.

Additionally to mark the big day, Starbucks is launching Tribute Blend Whole Bean Coffee, Canister, and Coffee Press.

Must Have for Spring: Converse Jac Purcell + Scoreboard Watch

Converse Jack Purcell shoes + Scoreboard watch (Ginger+Liz manicure)

After a very long week in Boston, I came home to another exciting package, my new Converse Women’s Jack Purcell shoes! I was first introduced to these beauties at Lucky Magazine’s Fashion and Beauty Blog (FABB) conference and thought who’s Jack Purcell?

He’s only one of the most amazing Badminton players of all time and former World Badminton Champion! Pretty random, huh?  Which of course only made me want them more (I love the random sports—ping pong is my only exercise of choice). That and I retired my Chuck Taylor’s last summer and was in need of a low, canvas sneaker for spring. And wouldn’t you know it, they brought the spring weather with them!

It was so warm and amazing out I wore them out all weekend (except Sunday night when it rained!). I even got to break them in on Friday night when I went to ping pong social club, SPiN New York for my good friend (and infamous table tennis player) Kaz’ birthday! Not to be all matchy-matchy, but I rocked my Jack Purcell’s with the Converse Scoreboard watch ($70), which I got last month at the conference! It not only keeps time, but also has an alarm, date, stopwatch feature and comes in a variety of fun colors. It’s also water resistant and very sporty with it’s silicone strap. Plus, how great does it look with my Jack Purcell’s? It definitely completed my look! Also you may want to take a minute to reflect on my silver metallic Ginger + Liz manicure (in shade “Tuck Me In“) thanks to TJ at Ryan Darious Salon. My nails look like they’re from outer space…love, love, love!

Pretty in Prints: Milly for Clinique Collection for Spring

There’s so much fun and innovation coming out of Clinique right now! They’ve partnered again with the fashion label Milly by the Michelle Smith, and this time created a limited edition Pretty in Prints color collection for spring. If you couldn’t tell by my post from Milly’s recent Fall 2011 runway show (yes, I was there!), I want everything she puts her name on (except peddle pusher shorts). Her choice of silhouette, color and patterns are so happy, youthful and fabulously styled! And the Clinique cosmetic set she designed is no exception.

The Pretty in Prints collection is very natural and feminine mixing rich browns and soft pinks that are perfect for spring! The Pretty in Prints Compact ($36) includes a Colour Serge Eye Shadow Quad in “Printed Pinks” which contains an Ivory shade, a gold metallic/greenish brown shade, a rosy pink color and a deep purplish brown eye shadow as well as the Blushing Blush Powder Blush in “Precious Posey”, which is a warm light pink blush.

Additionally, she created a limited edition signature pink lipgloss shade in Clinique’s Long Last Glosswear SPF 15 ($14), appropriately named ‘Milly Pink’. The color is a very light pink sheer lipgloss that’s both feminine and subtle in tint but makes your lips so smooth and shiny –it’s a thicker formula, but it stays put and feels hydrating (plus it has SPF 15!).

And because I’m a super-Milly fan, I have to say that even before trying the makeup, I was hooked on the pouch case it came in (which is inspired by a couture 1960s print)– I literally want a 100 of them so I can be pretty in this print and turn it into a dress!

Nicole Miller Fall/Winter 2011 Collection

Zoolander "Blue Steel" -is it just me?

There’s something so New York about Nicole Miller’s designs, I’m such a fan of her clothes so getting a seat at her Fall 2011 show was very exciting for me. As I mentioned before one of the major trends coming out of New York Fashion Week were predominantly black and gray garments with a pop of color. Although the pieces in Nicole Miller’s collection we’re very unique, this vogue was evident through her use of persimmon red and cerulean blue (think Zoolander “Blue Steel”) in the color palette.

Check out my footage of the finale of the show!

The collection was very avant-garde with fitted silhouettes that had geometric shapes, bold edges and angled curves. With the exception of a few strapless dresses, Miller went with a higher

Ferragamo: My W List Bag

Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2011 Runway Collection

Just now the door buzzer went off and it was FedEx dropping off a HUGE box for me! I checked the return label and it was from Ferragamo. You cannot imagine my excitement; my bag!!! As most of you know I entered The W List by Ferragamo competition which if you made it to the top 5 (of the list that is) you win a Ferragamo bag from their Spring/Summer 2011 runway collection. Ferragamo also selected one additional winner from the entire list who they deemed worthy of winning based on their inspiration. That accolade went to my blogger friend Rachel from Suitcase Secrets, My other friend,

Hash 55, Bon Jovi and Harboring Hearts

Bon Jovi Live at Madison Square Garden 2.24.11
Hash 55 Signature Cocktails

What do they have in common? They were all apart of my Thursday night. And, no, not literally hash (although the invitation did promise “hash brownies”); it was the opening party for Hash 55, a new modern, eclectic lounge and hookah bar in Midtown.

Generally, I’m not one for Midtown bars, but the timing worked out perfecting since I scored two tickets to Bon Jovi at Madison Square Garden and figured, why not? I grabbed my date, got a drink and endured an over-booked party –we lasted about 20minutes. I don’t care how much free alcohol is in tow, it’s not worth being constantly bumped into because a party is at capacity. And I’d love to comment on the food (mainly the brownies), but literally the poor waiters would come out with horderves and would get pounced on. The problem was the party was thrown upstairs in the lounge, which is a very cool, intimate space that on a non-open bar, invite-the-entire-city type of an evening, would be a great hang out. And their signature cocktails are great! The downstairs is a large seated restaurant with bar. I wish they extended the celebration into that space so we had more room (the restaurant only had a few reservations). So naturally, my date and I

Dior Dismisses Galliano and Introduces the New Face of Miss Dior Cherie: Natalie Portman

Dior has had quite a week! After a video circulated on Monday where apparently an inebriated John Galliano said, “I love Hitler”, the designer was denounced by Dior ambassador Natalie Portman and later fired by Christian Dior.

Today the couturier, finally spoke out and said, “Anti-Semitism and racism have no part in our society. I unreservedly apologize for my behavior in causing any offence.” Well good luck fixing this mess Galliano! It’s such a tragedy that someone capable of so much beauty can be so ugly.

But the House must go on and I’m excited to share Dior’s new campaign starring Natalie Portman as the new face of Miss Dior Cherie! Notice in the video the bow-tie that a very seductive Portman (baby-bump free) takes from the gentleman is the headband used in the print campaign. Tres chic!

And of course they didn’t forget the swan!

Tea Party with Jo Malone

Limited Edition Tea Fragrance Blends

Would you like to have a tea party with Jo Malone? Yes, please!

Well come tomorrow, you can! Jo Malone is launching a collection of limited edition, travel-friendly Tea Fragrance Blends ($55). Inspired by British tradition (he’s going back to his English roots), it was only proper he create three classic tea base fragrances –Assam & Grapefruit, Earl Grey & Cucumber and Fresh Mint Leaf followed by two additional scents; Sweet Lemon and Sweet Milk, which can either be worn alone or on top of the tea scents.

So how do you take your tea? I’m a mint girl myself, so I previewed the Fresh Mint Leaf fragrance, and for creativity sake added Sweet Milk on top. Apparently I take my fragrance exactly the way I do my tea –with nothing added (okay, sometimes I mix in lavender-honey, but that wasn’t an option). The Sweet Milk was pleasant, but sweet –and since when
