Laura Mercier Kohl Eye Pencil Set ($32, $75 value) – In a world where eyeliner pencils are generally harder formulas, I’m grateful for Laura Mercier’s Kohl Eye Pencils, which glide on smoothly and have a much softer formula then other brands on the market. It”s easy to apply on the inside lining of the eyelid & the base of the lashes for a stand alone look, or it can be smudged and worked onto the eyelid for a smokey effect. This set comes in 5 Shades include Stormy Grey, Black Violet, Brown Copper, Black Gold and Black Navy.

Incase Capsule headphones ($49.95) – These are a great set of portable headphones for any commuters or travelers on your list. Both stylish and practical, they come with three different eartip sizes that are interchangeable for your most optimal comfort and fit. The audio cable features an integrated mic and remote to control audio playback and works with for sound and calls with Apple products (iPhone, iPod, iPad and MacBook).

Everlane The Solid Tote ($35) – I love this website. Everlane offers really great basics that can be worn on repeat without them getting tired. It’s an ease tote that fits comfortably over the shoulder, for carrying anything from groceries to your laptop.

Gift Guide: PC Top Holiday Picks!

Who’s on top of their holiday shopping? Here are some of my personal picks of gifts I’ve gotten (mostly for myself) and loved!

1. Royal Apothic Conservatory Collection Candle in scent English Rose ($26) – this candle is lie a little piece of heaven. It’s a soy-blend wax and burns for 60 hours. It’s larger then it looks in the picture (5″h, 3″ square) and is gorgeous from package to scent. It’s like walking through a rose garden, the scent is superb.

2.  Sarah H. Reynolds Original Frame Notecards & Envelopes ($22/set of 10) – I love sending cards and this versatile set includes two of each print of five original charcoal frame drawings and ten envelopes by NY based artist, Sarah Reyholds. Leave your love note, thank you, or even your own drawing or picture inside one of these beautifully drawn frame (or use stamps!) and send. I like that they are artsy and give you a foundation to customize the card and they work for number of different occasions so they are handy to have around.

3. International Sanctuary Beautiful Green Necklace ($40) – As seen in my video campaign with SpaFinder (and regularly in photos on my instagram page, I wear this necklace all the time. This website (and necklace) are amazing. iSanctuary works to help victims of human trafficking reintegrate by employing survivors.  Their mission to end human trafficking through

PC Feature: Style Expert Pamela Pekerman on her Must-Haves for the Season

Pamela Pekerman is a style expert, host, TV personality, and soon-to-be mom! She throws regular events in NYC introducing guests (myself included) to a plethora of brands spanning beauty, fitness/health, style and lifestyle products and is a true tastemaker in the world of fashion —- can you tell I’m a fan?  So I asked Pamela for her must-haves for the season and here’s what made her list:

Jill Zarin Facets Ring ($58)– cocktail rings make a big statement and this one talks from all sides. I love how sleek and modern the shape is, with just a hint of crystals. Best of all in December 35% of the purchase price goes to the Ilya Peckerman Fund Vasculitis Foundation, which raises money for research grants to find a cure for these rare, autoimmune diseases. www.jillzarinjewelry.com/

Pinch Provision kits ($15) – adorably compact kits because you never know when you’ll need hairspray, double sided sticky tape or clear nail polish. A savvy gal is always ready to shine, no excuses. I’d like someone to get me the Labor Delivery Kithttp://shop.pinchprovisions.com

LAGOS Jewelry macramé bracelets ($150) – they are fun to stack and made with much more care and style than most of the macramé jewelry on the market. This is a great gift for all my girlfriends. Each one can have her own color. http://www.lagos.com/

Bindya cashmere/silk scarf ($135) – they feel amazingly, luxurious again your skin. Plus, scarves are so versatile. I love to wear them around my neck, draped over the shoulder, looped I front through a belt, or accenting the

Shopping HomeGoods with Carson Kressley

Of all the places and shopping buddies I’ve had, getting to shop HomeGoods with Carson Kressley was probably one of the most memorable shopping dates I’ve had in a while. First off because, I didn’t even know their was a HomeGoods in NYC — it’s right on 99th St. and Columbus, and it’s massive! Secondly, because Carson is every bit as fun, charming and hilarious as you’d expect.

He took me on tour of the store and even picked out a present for me! Now I’m no stranger to HomeGoods or  their sister companies, TJMaxx and Marshalls (all owned by TJX), which I grew up on. All three are great stops for checking just about anyone off your holiday list, however unlike the other two retailers, HomeKids doesn’t have clothing and instead focuses on giftables in the bed + bath, tableware, gourmet kitchen, home office, seasonal, pets, garden and home categories. From kids, to pets, coworkers, friends,

Joie de Vivre: Voutre Vu Launches French Accents Color Collection

July 14th is a day of celebration to commemorate the storming of the Bastille in France; a day to remember the end of the French Revolution and the beginning of a new era in French history. This past Bastille Day marked the beginning of a new era for those of us in the beauty industry as well. I was joined by beauty writers and addicts alike at the Bakehouse Bistro & Café in the West Village to celebrate the recent launch of the Votre Vu French Accents Premier Color Collection. Known for their high quality makeup made with plant-based ingredients (and no animal testing!), this was my first introduction into the brands cosmetic line — I know them more for their skincare.

The event could not have been any more fabulously Parision — the venue was perfect, the staff was dressed in Marie Antoinette-esque wigs and berets, delicious cocktails were served, and (most notably) there was a beautiful showcase of the French Accents premier color collection on display for all to admire.

Gold Council Goes for the Gold

Sometimes all that glitters certainly is gold, especially when it comes to the World Gold Council. Or so we discovered when the team visited 632 Hudson, an amazing apartment mansion turned event space where the Council showcased the jewelry of some of their favorite gold designers.

Prior to this event I didn’t realize such a council existed — although it makes sense! The Gold Council helps promote and support gold designers while keeping consumers informed of the importance of gold in the global economy. To say the exhibition was awe inspiring doesn’t even begin to do the collections justice, but hopefully the pictures help illustrate our point.

Here 8 of our favorite designers that we’re on display and our top picks from their collection:

1. There’s something very Thor about these whimsical wing rings by H Stern

2. Personalized writing on your gold jewelry a la Aurora Lopez Mejia

3. Elegance meets art with these dainty floral earrings by Carla Amorim

4. Intricate antiqe-like rings by Catherine Michiels

Beach Bag Essentials: Top products to have on your radar

Whether you’re planning a trip to the beach, a lake or Central Park, there’s some key don’t-leave-home-without products that make the leisure day in the sun that much better. And with summer in full swing here are some of our top beach bag picks!

Morning routine: Start fresh!

1. Rembrant Deeply White Toothpaste – It’s an all-in-one fluoride toothpaste with Active Dental Peroxide that helps safely whiten below the enamel to remove deep and surface stains. I like that it offers a deep whitening without being too strong and makes for a pleasant brushing experience. The packaging is simple and clean and aesthetically looks great in my bathroom along with it’s Deeply White Mouthwash counterpart (which I also use). At 2.6oz, it’s big enough for your bathroom and yet small enough that it fits comfortably in most makeup cases if you’re on the go and need an afternoon freshen up.

2. Degree NaturEffects deodorant– With temperatures hitting close to 90 degrees do everyone a favor (including yourself) and apply! I use the orange flower + cranberry scent which smells lovely. As both an anti-perspirant & deodorant in one, it keeps me dry and is offers long-lasting protection. Plus it goes on smooth and has never given my clothes a single mark.

The gear!

3. THE BAG! People often use weekender bags interchangeably with beach bags and unless you’re packing for the whole fam that can get a little bulky (plus the bigger a bag, the more you’ll fill it with stuff you don’t need). I opt for the L.L.Bean Boat and Tote bag in size medium ($33.95). Opting for a size smaller then the weekender makes the bag much more comfortable to hold while still guaranteeing room for all your beach essentials.
