Because everyone loves an infographic… Herbal Essences worked with Wakefield Research to survey 1,000 women ages 18-35 and found that showering in the morning can have a more positive impact on the rest of you day then you may expect. In fact, 9 out of 10 American women agree not only does it transforms the rest of their day, but it is also one of the few moments where they can truly “escape.”

While I’m not putting my maid Madame Françoise under the knife quite yet, I’ve noticed an increase in ladies (and ahem men) everywhere dabbling in the medi-spa pool.
Let’s start with the fact that the Palacio Del Inka hotel has a history as Pizarro’s palace and an Incan Temple. It’s luxurious, recently renovated and does an outstanding job of preserving and displaying history with thoughtful and attractive decor. Even if you don’t stay at this hotel, stop by for a drink or tour the lobby, courtyards and common rooms.
As a size 2/4, being a D cup makes it next to impossible to find a bikini that fits. For starters, I have to buy the top and bottom as separates — the curse of a small bottom and XL top. For some reason a D equals a DD (or larger with a lot of swim brands), and for someone that’s been successfully hiding her bust size since middle school, lets just say it’s been a challenge.

The nail polish world is a crazy one! We have the dominating big brands like Essie, OPI and Sally Hansen and then all the big makeup brands that launched theirs from Revlon to Maybelline. That now were seeing this rise in ‘indie’ brands which is a very tough field to play in against all of these big name brands. And yet even with all of the fierce competition, one beauty veteran, Nonie Creme makes it look easy.
Due to the high altitude, when we first flew into Cusco, we left immediately for the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu and we were excited to explore it on our way back. Cuzco is a magnificent city which dwarfs anything around it and is filled with great architecture, history and food. Being so high above sea level means having to watch your physical activity, but since we had already acclimated in the Sacred Valley for a week we felt pretty good to go.
Over the weekend, James and I headed to Newport, RI where we toured the mansions and sailed the days away. Minus the overly packed, non-stop itinerary (and one you better believe will involve heavy amounts of Lavazza to stay caffeinated), it was paradise! I’ll be posting pictures soon and my to do guide.
I’ve never been one for waxing salons. My past experiences getting my bikini line done were painful and always resulted in bumps and irritation. And as far as the rest of my body went, I was perfectly content with just shaving.
