This morning, I got my butt out of bed at 6:30am — my fellow non-morning people can appreciate this to kick off Global Running day with a 5k run with Brooks Running and break in my new Adrenaline GTS. I have a pretty decent collection of Brooks styles but my marathon running bestie swears by this style and I have back to back runs this week and next in DC so I’ll take any recommendations. I was hoping to get out this past weekend but it was too hot to run and too beautiful out to go to the gym (the catch-22 that is the story of my life). For all of us that need an extra push and in the spirit of Global Running Day, Brooks released their annual Global Run Happy Report which revealed just how fierce the power of running is.

Spread Softness with Splendid
A few weeks ago Charlie and I stopped by Splendid’s pop-up store in Soho with some of gal-pals to celebrate their Spread Softness campaign. If you’ve ever owned one of their tee you know softness is synonymous with the brand. But their crusade to make the world a softer place has more dimension. At Splendid, they believe that softness comes in many forms. Even more so than their cozier then ever fabrics, its about appreciating one another, celebrating special moments, family, and being a catalyst for kindness. The smallest gesture can have the biggest impact on someone’s day. And they want to encourage everyone doing their part to make this a softer world!
Bite Expands Sweet and Savory Amuse Bouche Lipstick Collection
Bite Beauty is expanding their Sweet and Savory Amuse Bouche lipstick collection to include 6 new shades. Three to the savory side Kale (deep hunter green with black), Squid Ink (deep navy with black), and Whiskey (rich mahogany with red) and three shades, Thistle (mauve infused taupe), Taro (amethyst with grey undertones) and Lavender Jam (electric blue-violet) to the sweet! Inspired by contrasting flavors – are you sweet or savory?
Monochromatic
Yesterday, felt like the first day off I’ve had in a while. We were originally supposed to go to Long Beach but since I’m out of town the next two weekends being home, walking the waterfront seemed like all the vacation I needed. I kept my outfit simple and finally wore my new jumpsuit from Sedona East. For anyone not familiar with Sedona East, they are an awesome online retailer that fulfills all my boho style needs. I’ve also been wearing m Soko Chain Dangle necklace on repeat. It’s great alone or as a layering piece. And breaking in my Havaianas Slim black flip flops I picked up at their preview a few weeks ago. The slim styles have to my favorite from the brand, it’s much less bulky then the originals and a staple I like to refresh every season in my closet.
Outfit Details:
Chaser Tribland Crossover Jumpsuit c/o Sedona East
Soko Chain Dangle Choker
Henry London Chiswick Bracelet Watch
Havaianas Slim Sandals in black
Forever 21 Round Sunglasses
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in shade Kale
NYX Cosmetics Opens Store in Brooklyn
While I’m aching for NYX Cosmetics to open a store in NYC, the state of New York should rejoice that we’re one step closer with the brand’s first store in this state landing in Brooklyn.
On Wednesday night, myself an a few blogger friends ventured out deep into BK for a sneak peek at the store. Now when I say deep, I’m talking the most southern point (like way farther then Ikea) to a place called the Kings Plaza Mall for a tour and to shop the store before it’s grand opening today!
Celebrating Karlie Kloss as the Face of Swarovski #BeBrilliant
On Tuesday Night, Charlie and I enjoyed a glamorous evening at the Top of the Rock to celebrate Karlie Kloss as the new face and brand ambassador to Swarovski. In a gorgeous campaign shot my photographer Tommy Ton (we LOVE him!), here is one of my favorites from the campaign. You can see all of the images HERE.
I never imagined my dog could be such an amazing +1. And to think I almost didn’t bring him! Before the event Charlie and I visited Swarovski to take a look at the new collection and what can I say, he charmed the crowd into lending him this amazing Swarovski necklace that’s part of their collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier. Needless to say it’s on both of our wish lists!
I mean, how cute is he? I’m not sure there was a single person at that party that didn’t hold or snapchat him. He was in the arms of everyone from Hailee Seinfeld, Bryanboy to Harley Viera-Newton. And we may or may not have a video of BryanBoy saying he’s the most fashionable dog he’s ever met. #Goals people!
Naomi Campbell lights Empire State Building in Honor of Red Nose Day
Happy Tuesday loves! This morning was pretty epic for me. I got to join one of my all time favorite supermodels, Naomi Campbell as she pulled the switch to light up the Empire State Building in honor of Red Nose Day. As many of you know I’m a big supporter of the cause, and Charlie and I posted pictures earlier this month of us in our Red Nose’ to help raise awareness. For anyone now familiar, Red Nose Day is a national event to raise money and awareness for kids in need around the world.

The launch party was hosted this afternoon at the beautiful Michelson Studio location in NYC. Hosted by Chloe Moretz and COACH’s Executive Director, Stuart Vevers the room was filled with flowers and editors had a chance to take a first look and sniff of the scent.
Scotch Tape DIY
In the past year my creativity has been shot. I used to have time to scrapbook and do DIY and art projects. Now I’m lucky to get in my 6 hours of sleep. Of which, most of my time slumbering I’m fantasizing about a summer home one day, with space and actual storage potential. My current DIY projects involve how to creatively hide my packages and gift bags from my boyfriend and so when we entertain it doesn’t look like we live in a Sephora sample sale. Earlier this month I stopped by the Scotch tape event and it was so fun to spend a night playing with tape — and not just any tape, but every type the Scotch brand offers and beyond.
The first photo above may seem like a normal office setting but in fact there is a piece of the original Scotch Magic Tape across the keyboard of that laptop to get the dust out of the keyboard (genius, I know!). The tape can also be used on glasses and cups to write your name on with magic marker as well as grided across a vase to make your long stem flowers stand up better — yes I did it myself! Also in the desk I spied some Super Glue which I didn’t even know they made.
