I have always had skin that was on the oilier side (especially in my T-zone) and am constantly on the hunt for the best products to keep my skin feeling clean and my make up in place. There is nothing worse than checking yourself out in the mirror halfway through the day to see most of your make up has slid off, especially in the warmer weather. Here are some of current go tos!
Confession: I don’t make it out for facials as regularly as I should so I’m big into DIY facials and face masks. I’ll double and even, triple mask at any given time. And to clarify double/triple masking means either you use them all at the time targeting different parts of your face OR what I do, which is use one after the other. The order for me is always, exfoliate, tighten, moisturize. Which you can also do with non-mask beauty products. The idea being when you exfoliate you get rid of all the dead skin cells and then whatever you put on top will absorb and penetrate better into the skin. And any type of exfoliation should be followed up by some type of product to close the pores and moisturize. You don’t have to add more masks but be sure to use an essence or alcohol-free toner, serum and moisturizer (or whatever your product preference is) so that the exposed skin doesn’t take in more dirt now that it’s so exposed from the exfoliation. When it comes to masks, I love ones that brighten, tighten, wake up my skin, fill in the wrinkles, prevent sagging and everything in between. There have been a lot of strong new releases this past years and here are the masks that have been using on repeat:
Model, music producer and Lancôme muse, Caroline de Maigret is well-known in Paris, famous for putting out some of the most inspiring Instagrams on record. The daughter of a French count and granddaughter of a former French government minister, she has a fresh yet deeply sophisticated style that is cool and effortless in a very Parisian-chic way. It’s safe to say that style runs in her blood!
Recently, I posted about the exciting GOODNESS pop-up restaurant I was apart of during New York Fashion Week. Founded by Supermodel/environmentalist, Elettra Wiedemann and presented by The Daily Front Row and CIRCA, GOODNESS is a full service pop-up restaurant that provides fresh, healthy and delicious food to the fashion community, while showcasing regionally sourced seasonal cuisine created by local culinary talent. This season the chef line-up included Mario Batali, Alain Allegretti, Leo Forneas and Julian Medina and GOODNESS earned the CFDA’s Health Initiative Stamp of Approval.
In addition to launching the pop-up restuarant, GOODNESS also hosted the GOODNESS Lounge by Renaissance Hotels, offering guests a comfortable “living room” atmosphere for reporters, models and editors to relax and recharge. And for guests in attendance there was a an amazing gift bag which we’re giving away to some lucky readers!
Now for the fun part… WIN THE GOODNESS GIFT BAG ($225+ value)!

Oh my GOODNESS, is right! As some of you know, as of last NYFW season I began working with the supermodel/philanthropist, Elettra Wiedemann on her 4-day fashion week pop-up restaurant concept, GOODNESS, which was founded on the principles of providing a wide audience, affordable, locally sourced food, by a rotating line-up of celebrity chefs.
After such an amazing response in September, Elettra brought GOODNESS back for the Fall 2012 NYFW season. Hosted by CIRCA and The Daily Front Row, GOODNESS was housed at the Robert on the 9th floor of the Museum of Arts and Design from February 11 – 14th, and featured an amazing line-up of rotating chefs which included: Mario Batali of Babbo, Leo Forneas of ROBERT, Alain Allegretti of La Promenade des Anglais and Julian Medina of Toloache. And to add to the excitement, GOODNESS earned the CFDA’s Health Initiative Stamp of Approval.
We also took over the 7th floor of the museum to create the GOODNESS Lounge by Renaissance Hotels. Designed as a comfortable “living room” space for guests to relax and recharge. The GOODNESS Lounge by Renaissance Hotels also featured a touch-up station by Lancôme and massages by Equinox. CIRCA, the world’s leading global buyer of fine jewelry, showcased their collection of recycled, sustainable luxury jewelry in the lounge. As you may remember (I posted about the competition!), GOODNESS partnered with Talenthouse to choose a winning resident DJ for the lounge. Our winner, DJ Travisty was a gem and kept the beats going and the lounge popping.
Day 1 was a blur! Mario Batali was in the kitchen and naturally we we’re booked the entire day. We also had a little kick-off party to toast Elettra and the chefs. We were joined by Elettra’s mother, Isabella Rossellini, as well as fashion friends, Monique Pean, Michelle Harper, Laura Brown, Mickey Boardman, Lorenzo Martone, and Jon Emperson aka Lypsinka.
After that we cruised through the next 3 days, welcoming guests, coordinating interviews and trying everything we could possibly could on the menu. I’m so lucky to work with the most amazing team that made going to work everyday so fun and be apart of such an innovative concept.
You haven’t heard the last of GOODNESS… aside from a return in future New York Fashion Weeks, expect appearances in Paris, London, Doha and Miami.

Mark your calendars and start making your reservations! From February 11th – 14th, Elettra Wiedemann’s GOODNESS pop-up restaurant returns to New York Fashion Week.
As some of you may remember from last fashion week, I worked with the glamorous and wonderful supermodel Elettra Wiedemann on her full service Fashion Week pop-up restaurant, GOODNESS. Well I’m excited to report that for this New York Fashion Week season, GOODNESS returns with an all new line up of prominent chefs including Mario Batali, Leo Forneas, Alain Allegretti and Julian Medina.

And if you’ve never been to the Robert for dinner or drinks, you need to! Besides having a very stylish interior, the view is to die for! Set on the 9th floor of the Museum, it has ceiling tall windows that overlooks Columbus Circle and Central Park.

Also for the first time, Goodness is proud to present the GOODNESS Lounge by Renaissance Hotels on the 7th floor of the Museum of Arts and Design (two floors below the pop-up restaurant). Designed as a comfortable “living room” and wi-fi lounge for editors and fashion week goers to relax and recharge, the GOODNESS Lounge by Renaissance Hotels will feature a touch-up station from beauty sponsor Lancôme. CIRCA, the world’s leading global buyer of fine jewelry, will also showcase their collection of recycled, sustainable luxury jewelry in the lounge, offering attendees access to their collection of antique and contemporary collectible gems. GOODNESS also partnered with Talenthouse and DJ Zen Freeman to choose a resident DJ, and are pleased to announce the winner of our DJ competition, DJ Travisty, who will provide a soothing soundtrack of lounge music and modern remixes for the lounge.
How exciting! My first MAJOR photo credit in Elle!!! As most of you know I partnered with supermodel, extraordinaire, Elettra Wiedmann to join the PR team for her GOODNESS pop-up restaurant during New York Fashion Week. Elettra is also the face of Lancome and during GOODNESS, Lancome hosted a private beauty editor event — as in literally all my hero’s in the beauty industry were there (*contain excitement*)!
And fortunately for me, they asked if I would shoot the event! While I’m an amateur photographer at best, I have to say, I did pretty good for myself!
I mean seriously, how beautiful does Elettra look in this picture?!?! It’s a good thing she’s flawless — it made my job super easy! And I’m so grateful to Elle for such a thorough photo credit! “Photo: Lara Eurdolian/Pretty Connected”, MAJOR!!!
Earlier I posted about GOODNESS, the full service Fashion Week pop-up restaurant created by supermodel, Elettra Wiedemann.

WIN IT! To help celebrate the launch, Orange Hat Group and the GOODNESS team are giving away Elettra’s VIP GOODNESS gift bag to one lucky winner (as in literally that bag on her arm in the photograph!).
What’s in the bag?
A certificate for a complimentary pair of Civic Duty “Fascination” shoes (in your choice of color/size).
Half United Bullet Necklace (for every on necklace sold, Half United donates a week of healthy school meals to a child in need).
Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover (4.2 fl oz), Hypnose Mascara in Black and Bienfait Aqua Vital Continuous Infusing Moisturizer
Lancome declares October 22nd Genes Day –who knew you could do that? Then again it’s for a great cause, so we endorse it! The day will serve as fundraiser in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, with the luxury brand pledging to donate a minimum of $100,000. Go Lancome!
How are they doing it? With your help! Last year Lancome launched Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate, which I have yet to try but have heard good things. In honor of their claim that the product delivers results in seven days, Lancome is donating $7 from the sale of every bottle to St. Jude on October 22nd.
For anyone who wishes to try the product prior to purchasing, visit a Lancome counter on the 22nd for a complimentary deluxe seven-day sample (no purchase necessary).
