Charlie at Pom Springs

Introducing Charlie at the Pom Springs Hotel! Our new children’s book which hit #1 new release on Amazon!

A portion of the proceeds from every sale ($1 USD) will be donated to support animal welfare and rescue organizations.

Based on the true story of our founder, Lara Eurdolian King and her husband, James who traveled to Palm Springs on vacation, where they unexpectedly meet Charlie; a senior Pomeranian dog living in the lobby of their hotel up for adoption.

Charlie at the Pom Springs Hotel is a timeless “tail” of love, friendship, and dog adoption. With stunning illustrations and a message showing that a family is a family, no matter what it looks like, this book is sure to capture the heart of every young reader—and even adults too!

Charlie was dog #42 to be rescued through the hotels pet adoption program, where they partner with a local animal shelter and let one dog live in the lobby, and when it gets rescued a new dog moves in. The property has helped hundreds of dogs get rescued.

The children’s book is about Charlie, the tour guide at the ‘Pom Springs Hotel’ who helps show families around the property, all the while looking to be adopted and find his forever family. During his tours he introduces the hotel guests to his animal friends that all have unique blended families. The turtles live with the bunnies, the swans live with the ducks and their ducklings… illustrating through animals, Charlie and his friends teach the kids that there are all different types of families.

All of the animals are based on real characters that lived or regularly visited the property.

Our dream is to inspire more hotels and doorman buildings to open their lobbies and join paws with local shelters to foster animals and get more involved with events to help them find their forever home.

Charlie at the Pom Springs Hotel, $18.99 is available on prettyconnected.com/shop, Amazon, Target, Barnes & Nobles and select book stores across the country!

Our straps are going to Disney! We’re partnering with It Cosmetics!

Well kids, it’s been an exciting week to say the least. Since launching my line of camera/bag straps less than 7 days ago, I’m so proud to announce my first brand collaboration with It Cosmetics.

We’re doing a limited edition Pretty Connected x It Cosmetics ‘Capture It’ strap. We’ll be launching the strap at Disney with the top beauty vloggers/bloggers attaching them to the Instax Mini 9 camera for them to run around the Magic Kingdom and capture their adventure. I named this series of straps the “Jamie” after It Cosmetics founder, Jamie Kern Lima. I want all of my straps to be named after inspiring women, and Jamie is the ultimate girl boss. She’s made real change happen in the beauty industry, being the first prestige brand to use real women of all sizes and skin issues as models. Her acceptance speech for the CEW Achiever Award still gives me chills!

Outfit details: RXP dress from Bandladies showroom, Givenchy lace up boots, Neiman Marcus Barry Jewelry Crystla Lightening Bolt Hoop Earrings (on sale, $15!).

Bandladies BOSS party

Earlier this week, my friend and style + trend expert, Brittney Levine & I hosted the launch of the Bandladies Showroom. They carry four clothing lines that are so edgy and cool. Really incredible textures, prints and editorial pieces. We invited our friends for the ultimate girls night. We’re talking, Williamsburg Pizza, specialty cocktails by Articulate Productions, On Demand Salon for hair styling, and I hosted a BOSS ring bar! brittney levine, nikki klarsberg, pandora amoratis, lara eurdolian, ashley goldsteinAs many of you know I just launched my accessories line, and while it’s mostly camera/bag straps, I have line of BOSS rings that are pretty dope, especially when they are layered. It was a pleasure having all my girls there for my first BOSS ring bar, where they could pick up my rings in their size. Since our theme was fashion week, or rather pre-fashion week styling, guests checked out the showroom for their fashion week outfits and we hooked them up an incredible gift bag thanks to our friends at Shapehouse, EOS and STARSKIN. LA born, Shapehouse just opened in NYC in two locations (UES and Flat Iron), they offer 55 minute sweat sessions where you lay in an infrared blanket while watching Netflix (or any program you’d like) and burn 600-1500 calories. It’s amazing, and my ultimate lazy girl workout. You walk out feeling amazing and it’s the easiest way to suck it all in before fashion week! I should note Brittney and I went back to back before our event. We’re obsessed!

Eos lip balms are always a good idea. Especially in the winter in New York, since chapped lips will never be cute. Eos just rolled out their new Crystal balm featuring extra chic packaging, and a crystal clear balm that’s waxless and offer weightless hydration thanks to it’s blend of 5 nourishing natural oils. Available in two flavors Hibiscus Peach and Vanilla Orchid, it’s a winter must have.

My Big Announcement! My Camera and Bag Straps Just Launched!

Pretty Connected Camera StrapCamera straps, bag straps and Boss rings. It’s the moment I’ve been waiting a very long time for. I have finally launched my Pretty Connected™ accessories line. While I’ll be focusing on DIY events and brand partnerships (I have some really cool ones coming up!), my first collection is a line of basic straps I want to encourage anyone who purchases to customize. Decorate them with with pins, flat back charms, patches, studs… and have fun! I have spent the last month living at Michael’s and M&J Trimming coming up with really cool DIY ideas for all of you and crafting on my straps.  I’ll be sharing my DIY ideas in blog posts coming soon to help inspire you!

For some inspiration though, these are a few of my favorite quick DIY’s I did over the weekend with my Jamie strap. It’s amazing what a few stars or trimming does for the design.

As some of you know, for the past 4 years I’ve been making my own camera straps since I refuse to look all cute and then wear a big Sony or Canon branded camera strap around my neck. And while there are some alternatives online, I had a hard time finding one that I connected with so I started making my own. And a lot of you have noticed and asked me about them over the years and finally, I got my act together and created a line. I love to travel and accessorize so I want to make camera straps that can easily be switched out based on your mood and outfit. I hinted at the launch last fashion week when I debuted one of the straps I made on the runway for the Livari fashion show I walked in.

Sparkle tops, tassels and how to resurrect dry hair

Eliza J Pants // Nu New York top // Baublebar earrings and necklace // Stuart Weitzman boots

It’s been a long week wrapping up projects cooped up in my office so on Friday I finally got a blowout and starting playing with some of my black friday purchases — how good are these Eliza J pants? I round up my favorite sparkle tops below but quick side bar I have been in hair hell lately. Overly processing my hair finally caught up with me during my last session and the stylist left in my toner too long (and then tried to fix it by literally murdering my strands).

Inspired by: Cruising in the Caribbean with Celebrity Cruises

I just got back from traveling around Mexico and I can’t wait to go back south! From swimming in the ocean, wind in my hair, feet in the sand and eating my weight in guacamole to leaving the beaches to head to Mexico City to fulfill one of my dreams of seeing Frida Kahlo’s house it was a magical week away. I can’t believe I almost canceled my trip after the earthquake hit. I was so devastated by the news that I wanted to use our trip to volunteer but the reality was donating money and tourism was what the city really needed. And to my surprise all of the attractions were open, the city was alive and in traveling all over the Mexico City I saw very little damage. Granted most of the accounts were in residential areas, none of the damage interfered with out trip and spirits were high as we walked the streets.

Right now many of the islands off of Mexico and much of the Caribbean have either no damage or are recovering and opened their ports, ready for our arrival. Now is a great time for tourism to help the islands rebound and return to normalcy.

Swarovski Remix Soiree with Skai Jackson and Patricia FIeld

Swarovski REMIX Party with Skai Jackson, Patricia Field

Last week, I closed out fashion week with some major sparkle, hosting the Swarovski’s REMIX Collection Launch Party with actress, Skai Jackson at the brand’s Rockefeller Center Store. Skai also served as Teen Vogues Fashion Week ambassador and did a really great recap of her journey and the event on teenvogue.com. For anyone not familiar with the Remix collection, it’s a vast mix of silver and rose gold bracelets with a magnet clasp making it easy to stack, and also hook together to turn bracelets into wrap bracelets, necklaces and beyond.Karlie Kloss Swarovski Remix CampaignWith so many styles and endless mix and match opportunities — just look at all the different ways and personalities Karlie Kloss captures in her above ad campaign. What I love about this collection is its versatility and ability to be styled to your personal style. My style is a mix of edgy and classic, I love mixing metallics and textures. I also loved looping it through my ring finger.Speaking of personal style, I was so honored to have one of my favorite people join me, famed costume stylist and fashion icon, Patricia Field. And of course, my pomeranian and side kick, Charlie, who was rocking some Swarovski of his own.

Walking in the Livari NYFW Show

Livari founders, Alysia Reiner, celebrity stylist and founder of Caravan Stylist Studio, Claudine DeSola and Tabitha St. Bernard-Jacobs, the designer behind Tabii Just and is the Youth Initiatives Coordinator for the Women’s March movementWell, I can now officially check “walking in a New York Fashion Week show” off of my list! Recently, I hit the runway for the introduction of new fashion brand Livari, a zero waste and ethically sourced label that focuses on empowering women and helping the environment. Created by the environmental and feminist activist and award-winning actress from Orange is the New Black, Alysia Reiner, my good friend and bad a$$ celebrity stylist and founder of Caravan Stylist Studio, Claudine DeSola and Tabitha St. Bernard-Jacobs, the designer behind Tabii Just and is the Youth Initiatives Coordinator for the Women’s March movement!!!! These incredible women created this new brand, to take their cause further and empower women through fashionable clothing that is made ethically and sustainably.

For the premiere Livari fashion show, they partnered with brands who promote environmental and social change such as Cool Effect, Ivy, and Brother. Hosted by Kia and Style360 NYFW, myself, as well as my fellow models were chosen to walk in the show to help spread the brand’s social impact.

All about that plastic…

Melissa Shoes moved around the corner in from their location on Greene Street to the booming block on Broadway. And lets just say the new store is on a whole new level of cool. They adopted an experiential store concept that features part boutique and part art gallery. This larger flagship location is chalk full of unique and engaging decor, from the fixtures to the live green wall and my personal favorite, the infinity room — mirrors everywhere (hello selfie opportunity!).While there was no shortage of designer plastic, rain shoes, flip flops, platforms and everything in between that I wanted, I opted for the Melissa Shoes x Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Chelsea Boots at the opening and am obsessed!!!! Like their other Galeria locations around the world, the store will stock styles from Melissa’s main women’s collection, as well as their infamous designer collaborations with brands including Vivienne Westwood, Jason Wu, Jeremy Scott…

A Very Super Saturday

I’m so happy I got back from Greece in time to make it to the Hampton for Super Saturday with OCRFA, the largest global charity making advances in ovarian cancer research. It’s by far my most favorite shopping day of the year with all of the proceeds going to Ovarian Cancer Research!
