Casio G-SHOCK opens Flagship in NYC

Last night, Casio G-SHOCK, the watch brand, known for their waterproof, digital mens styles and partnerships celebrated the launch of their first flagship store in NYC’s SoHo. Spanning over two narrow floors, the first is the retail space that carries all of the new styles, while the upstairs pays tribute to their heritage by displaying a timeline of the timepieces released over the brands 30 year history, as well as

PC Celebrates Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday 24 Collection #Holiday24

There’s no doubt about it, last night Target blew it out of the water at the launch party for the Target + Neiman Marcus collaboration. I was so excited to be invited to this event, all I’ve ever wanted was to be able to shop Neiman Marcus at Target prices.

The collaboration which features over 50 gifts from 24 of the most coveted American designers (we’re talking Prabal Gurung, Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, DVF, Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu, Rodarte, Tory Burch…) priced between $7.99 – $499.99, with most items under $60.

The event was to die for! Two floors of designer goods, interactive floor models (on girl was biking in place, while another was knitting the most giant fabric I’ve ever seen in the window), and most of the designers we’re in the house, walking the floor — I nearly passed out — too many of my heroes in one space. The champagne was flowing and the guests we’re taking advantage of the sneak peek to shop the collection before it’s December 1st launch date!

{Karlie Kloss at the Holiday 24 party}

Karlie Kloss, was the face of the #Holiday24 campaign and the first person I saw at the event (looking ever as stunning in a black dress with star sparkles). I wasn’t about to miss the opportunity to ask her who she was wearing and her must-have beauty product for the season. The answer, “I’m wearing

Kate Ciepluch + Gilt City Host an Evening at Nine West Vintage America Collection

Nine West has really stepped up their game! I recently hit up their new Nine West Vintage America store in SoHo for a shopping event hosted by Kate Ciepluch and Gilt City. Unlike other Nine West stores, this location exclusively carries the Vintage America Collection, a line of shoes and accessories consisting of exactly what you’d expect from it’s name — tribal prints, cowboy boots, distressed leathers… and Kate’s Kartel! That’s right, our host for the evening, Kate Ciepluch (former fashion director of Shopbop) collaborated with Nine West to create a collection based on her findings from a cross country trip she took with the brand. Her findings helped inspire not just her collection but the overall aesthetic for the whole line. I chatted up the lovely fashionista for some time, as she took me on a tour of her findings. Check it out!

NYC Event: Cyber Monday with The Cools + Performance by Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan

I was recently introduced to The Cools, a Social shopping start-up website founded by Parisian entrepreneur Olivier van Themsche. The Cools delivers a social marketplace tailored to your personal style (you take a quick survey then it takes you to this incredible assortment of womens + mens clothing and accessories, interiors, art and vintage). Think upscale etsy that’s highly curated.

The Cools is stepping offline for Cyber Monday to debut 26 collaboration items designed specifically for the holiday season.

Preview them Monday, 11/26 from 6-9pm at the The Gallery at the Dream Hotel Downtown in NYC. Performance by Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan.

This event is open to the public. RSVP at www.THECOOLS.com

Shopping HomeGoods with Carson Kressley

Of all the places and shopping buddies I’ve had, getting to shop HomeGoods with Carson Kressley was probably one of the most memorable shopping dates I’ve had in a while. First off because, I didn’t even know their was a HomeGoods in NYC — it’s right on 99th St. and Columbus, and it’s massive! Secondly, because Carson is every bit as fun, charming and hilarious as you’d expect.

He took me on tour of the store and even picked out a present for me! Now I’m no stranger to HomeGoods or  their sister companies, TJMaxx and Marshalls (all owned by TJX), which I grew up on. All three are great stops for checking just about anyone off your holiday list, however unlike the other two retailers, HomeKids doesn’t have clothing and instead focuses on giftables in the bed + bath, tableware, gourmet kitchen, home office, seasonal, pets, garden and home categories. From kids, to pets, coworkers, friends,

Fred Perry Celebrates ‘Sixty Years of Rebellion’

Fred Perry (the man) has always been this phenomenon to me. He was this tennis and ping pong superstar (we’re talking #1 ranked tennis player in the world as well as Table Tennis World Champion in 1929 amongst many other sports accolades) and is credited as the creator of the first anti-perspirarnt device worn around the wrist (aka first inventor of the sweatband). All of this was the start to the clothing brand we now know today as Fred Perry. And while some of us attribute tennis with country clubs and preppy sportswear there’s this definite rebellious side to the brand and it’s

11/15 Game on! PC joins Sephora + The Blush for Battle of the Beauty Bloggers

Sephora has partnered with The Blush to pin me against my favorite beauty blogger bff’s (or as we like to think of it, “sista from anotha mista”), Felicia Walker Benson of ThisThatBeauty and you’re invited to watch us compete!

The game: We have 5 minutes to pick our 5 Winter Beauty Essentials from Sephora for under $100 (total). Then the Sephora store manager and TheBlush.com editor will review our collection and declare a winner.

It’s all going down Thursday, November 15, 6-9pm at Sephora NYC/Union Square, 45 East 17th Street. And it’s gonna be a party! The DJ’s in place, St. Germain’s got the drinks, and Sephora has their makeup artists on hand for blush applications. Plus I hear there’s a gift bag filled with this season’s must have… so join us!

Game on!

11/15: Zerona Open House at American Laser Skincare

I have a confession. In all of my years of beauty and skincare investigation, I barely know my juvedirm from my botox. Med spa’s are like this whole other category of beauty that I’m now committing to learn more about since it’s such a huge part of this industry. And there seems to be new advances and treatments on the market coming at us left and right. Zerona, is one of these treatments that I’ve started hearing about but know nothing about. From what I understand though, it’s a non-invasive body contouring system that you can lose up to 1-2 inches in the designated zone area in just 2 treatments. And apparently there’s no recover time, which blows my mind!

American Laser Skincare is having an open house on Thursday, November 15th from 4-9pm for anyone who wants to learn more at the following locations in New York City : Madison Avenue, Central Park South, Union Square, Upper West. Additional locations in New York includes Planview, Rockville Centre, Huntington and White Plains. Bloggers + Schutz Capsule Collection

Back in September I reported on the launch of Alexandre Birman’s Schutz Flagship store opening in NYC and since then I’ve been averaging two pairs a month — I’m kind of addicted. They are total complement me shoes, with these incredible heels and there’s this great attention to detail that makes them unusual without being too over the top (I’m on my 6th pair).

On Thursday night, Schutz launched a capsule collection designed by 3 amazing top bloggers, Aimee Song of Song of Style, Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes, and Shea Marie of Cheyenne Meets Chanel. 10% of the proceeds of the evening was donated to the Red Cross.

Each blogger flew to Brazil last July to design 3 pairs of shoes for the line. The great part about collaborating with such stylish women who embody the Schutz brand is the collection in phenomenal I was in the store for maybe 30 minutes and still managed to buy 3 pairs; one of my fashion contributors (and date for the evening), Tiffany Pinero of Tifany Pinero Style bought an
