Last night, Charlie and I had a blast at the Bluemercury store opening in TriBeCa! The beauty mecca had an incredible turnout and the store is beautiful. I’m a huge fan of their founder and CEO Marla Malcolm Beck (photoed above with me) and remember when they first opened in NYC.
This store marks their 96th location in the US — it’s just incredible what she and her team has done. While I’ve been in my fair share of their stores, this may be my favorite location yet; it’s one of their bigger ones at 2,000 square feet with tall ceilings and that clean, open boutique feel that they are known for.
What makes Bluemercury so great in addition to the feel when you walk in, and wonderful staff is the product curation –it’s fantastic! They have so many of my favorite brands from NARS, Nest, Chanel, Moroccanoil, Mario Badescu, fresh, skinceuticals, smith+cult, Bliss… the list is endless and spans makeup, skincare, nails, hair, tools bath and body. But there is always more to discover! Charlie and I played at the Georgie Beauty Lash Bar — and picked up the black adhesive I’ve been dying to try and some big lashes of course (you know I like a lot of lash.
Dauphin also has an essential oils display that lets you experience the scents so your nose picks the one for you — and they are generous on samples, so don’t miss that when you stop in.
They also have two in-house lines, M-61 which I’ve been using recently and am pretty obsessed. You know I love a good glow peel, and their M-61 Power Glow Peel burned baby. The tingle -and more importantly the exfoliation is incredible. And kind of game chnger at $28. They’ve also been giving me my Vitamin C fix with their Vitablast C Serum and the Vitablast C Scrub & Mask.
They also own lune+aster which I haven’t played with at all since launching the line almost a year ago. It’s been on my radar for a while and need to get more intel next time I visit. The store was mobbed last night and I want to go back after the opening.
Bluemercury also has some exclusive products from the new Estee Lauder Genuine Glow collection. I picked up the Revitalizing Oil Lip Tint, which is a beautiful formula. Just a hint of color if used alone or I like to put it on top of my lipsticks to give that more wet/gloss finish and rehydrate my lips during the day.
