Marc Jacobs Beauty Re(marc)able Foundation & Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Primer Review

marc_jacobs_coconut_primer_2I’m long overdue for this review! I’ve been playing with the Marc Jacobs Beauty Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate and Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer since they launched in July. They are truly remarkable products worthy of their names if you use them correctly. For starters the foundation is a concentrate which means it’s about as full coverage, and as potent as they come — so you only need a little bit! Apply it to your hand first and then with a brush, beautyblender or your finger blend onto skin for maximum coverage. Unless you like a lot of coverage this may be too heavy or concentrated which is way it launched simultaneously with the Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer. Together you can adjust these two products for your perfect weight and coverage level.

A vampy red lip is the LBD of my make up arsenal, an absolute necessity. It instantly transforms a look and is always super chic and in style. Everyone should have their go to red, but if you are still searching, look no further than Marc Jacobs Beauty. The now full on beauty brand (remember when they just had nail polishes?) just launched Le Marc Lip Creme, a collection of 20 lipsticks shades which offer creamy moisturizing pigments that boast 10 hours of staying power. And this collection is on point!

The Place to Be: My 3 Top NYC Picks {Sponsored}

This past week I was inspired by Marc Jacobs latest fragrance, Honey by Marc Jacobs to tour and share some of favorite places to be and be seen in NYC. While there’s an endless list of NYC hot spots, and “it” venues of the moment, this fragrance took me in a different direction. With notes of orange blossom, fruits and florals, paired with honey and woods, this scent just makes me want to be outside and visit some of this city’s finest spots that never go out of vogue. And thanks to the beautiful weather last week, I did just that!

Lara Eurdolian, Vespa

I’m going to start off with my ride! The place to always be and be seen, is on the back of a Vespa! The Italians knew what they were doing when making this a classic mode of transportation. It’s chic, compact, and

In case you missed the headlines this morning, Marc Jacobs is stepping down as creative director of Louis Vuitton, along with his business partner Robert Duffy are exiting Vuitton.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Jacobs is exiting his job to focus on an IPO for the Marc Jacobs brand, which could come some time in the next three years. There is some speculation that Jacobs might go to Coach (wouldn’t that be cray?). According to WWD, Nicolas Ghesquière, formerly of Balenciaga, may be next in line for the throne.

SEPHORA Launches Disney’s Ariel Collection

Recently, SEPHORA celebrated their 15th birthday and what an empire they have built over the past decade (and half). While the retailer is no stranger to collaborations, they have expanded their private label offerings to include everything from designers, fairy tales and a global color authority, in addition to their signature collection available at store. (Psst: August 9th they are launching the Marc Jacobs makeup line.)

This month one of our favorite Disney princesses is sharing her world under the sea with the bold, refreshing Disney Reigning Beauties Ariel Collection by SEPHORA. With such a broad range of color inspiration, from Ariel’s perfectly quaffed red hair to the shimmering tones of the sea, it is obvious that the pros at SEPHORA must have had a field day designing this collection.

Last month, Mark Jacobs was named the creative director of Coca Cola Company and this month the duo debuts the ‘Sparkling Together For 30 Years’ campaign in which the designer launches three limited edition bottles and cans of

Backstage at Marc Jacobs SS2011 Show

NARS Cosmetics and Redken 5th Avenue joined forced to create the makeup and hair look for Marc Jacobs RTW Spripg 2011 fashion show.

LEAD MAKEUP ARTIST: François Nars, Founder & Creative Director of NARS Cosmetics
TREND: Glossy green eyes & deep matte lips

LOOK & INSPIRATION: “The look is very reminiscent of Angelica Houston in the 70s-the bleached brows and the deep eyes,” said François Nars. “I wanted them to look like iconic models from the 70s with a modern approach. Marc had images of what he wanted the makeup to look like – mimicking the colors of the clothing but not matching exactly.”

Get the look! Here are the key NARS products used for the show:

LEAD HAIR STYLIST: Guido Palau for Redken
HIGHLIGHTS: Guido created four different looks for the show, using lots of flowers and hats.  Inspired simply by “Marc’s clothes”, he used a combination of two Redken products, Thickening Lotion and Quick Dry 18 Instant Finishing Spray.
