Bravo’s Mad Fashion and Fashion Hunters Season Finale Tonight

Q&A with the cast of Mad Fashion and Fashion Hunters

Yesterday, I had a sneak peek into Bravo’s Mad Fashion and Fashion Hunters season finale airing tonight and some quality time with the casts from both shows.

What to expect? For Mad Fashion, watch Chris March and his team  in action as they make the most amazing black McQueen inspired evening gown for Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, Chrissy Teigen, for her first major red carpet appearance (with, ahem, boyfriend John Legend) to the 2011 Met Ball. Since the event already happened, I don’t feel bad about showing you the dress. The train is to die for!!! It’s made from thousands of Swarovski crystals!!! And despite a little drama over which collar Chrissy should wear, the feather one she ends up going for is stunning. Although wait until you see the other neck piece — It’s so Mcqueen with a Chris March twist;). And considering the theme of this years Met Ball was Alexander McQueen it would have been perfect!

The only frustrating part of the episode is wanting to tell Chrissy to have her own opinions when it comes to what she wears! Input from your man

There’s a lot to look forward to this spring with Forever 21’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection –or rather 4 collections. Betsey Johnson to Partner with The Plaza Hotel for Eloise Tree Lighting

Betsey Johnson's original sketch for the tree

I die! Betsey Johnson is partnering with the The Plaza to design the hotel’s first official Christmas Tree this holiday season.  Inspired by the iconic fictional Plaza resident, Eloise, the Christmas tree will be unveiled during a special ‘Tree Lighting Tea’ in The Palm Court on November 28 at 5pm, hosted by The Plaza and Betsey Johnson. The Plaza also recently opened the designer’s first holiday ‘popup’ shop to offer an exciting collection of giftable items.

“I absolutely loooove The Plaza, along with Eloise of course!” says Betsey Johnson. “I’ll be poppin’ in to light the Eloise tree and kick off my Betsey holiday pop-up shop, filled with my favorite stocking stuffers and more. There’s something for everybody! Pop in and say hi! XOX Betsey.”

This hits a sentimental cord considering growing up I loved reading Eloise. I actually still

Empire State Building to Shine for Evelyn Lauder Tonight

Evelyn H. Lauder with Elizabeth Hurley at the Empire State Building in 2010 in honor of Estée Lauder Companies’ Global Landmark Illumination Initiative

Tonight the Empire State Building will shine pink and white in memory of the late Evelyn H. Lauder and her courageous work raising awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

“The Empire State Building shines our tower lights in pink tonight and until 6 am Tuesday morning in memory of Evelyn H. Lauder,” says Anthony E. Malkin of Malkin Holdings, “a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a woman who has improved the lives of millions with her advocacy and inspiration in the fight against breast cancer.”

In 1993, Mrs. Evelyn H. Lauder founded The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).  Since that time the BCRF has raised over $350 million for research. In 2000, The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign began its Global Landmark Illumination Initiative whereby world-famous landmarks around the globe, including the Empire State Building, are illuminated in glowing pink lights during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October to focus attention and spread awareness about breast cancer, and the message that early detection saves lives.
