The Retail Me Not Insider — you know that AWESOME coupon site you should always check before making any in-store or online purchase (yah, that site!) featured myself, and some of my fav fellow beauty bloggers, Felicia of This That Beauty, Danielle of The Style & Beauty Doctor, and Jeannine of Beauty Sweet Spot and our must-have products of 2012! 2. My first feature in Refinery 29! Sure it’s a small shout out on their site but for a big event! I recently hosted the DIY station with artist, Sarah Reynolds at R29’s holiday pop-up shop, Tinseltown. We had a blast decorating holiday cards with guests and  being apart of the event.

Join PC & Refinery29 for Tinseltown!

Last night, I hosted the DIY station for Refiner29’s pop-up shop, Tinseltown and had guests make and decorate their own holiday cards using Sarah Reynolds signature frame stationary.

The pop-up shop officially opens today and runs through the weekend. So head over to 201 Mulberry Street and do some holiday shopping, get a makeover (and tattoo — theirs a falsey station!), and make some cards!

Matthew Williamson Launches MW Line

Matthew Williamson and Dree Hemingway

Gossip Girl made me in love with Matthew Williamson. Every time I’d walk by this store I’d fall for his colorful prints and whimsical long maxi dresses –although the $2,500 price tag generally kept me from walking inside. Why torture myself? So when I received an invitation from Refinery29 to the exclusive launch party of his new diffusion line MW Matthew Williamson, I was all over it!

With Dree Hemingway on his arm (looking stunning in her MW mini dress), Matthew Williamson walked the store mingling with guests and posing for pictures.

“The aim was really to offer a broader collection, with more units than we have in the line–I think it spans about 250 pieces in the diffusion line,” Williamson told Racked. “The idea is to have it at a lower price point, more accessible, and offer a slightly different slant on the main line. The main line is known more for print and colour and that sort of red-carpet aesthetic, glamour and jet-set and all those kind of ideas. So whilst those ideas have some synthesis within the diffusion line, I wanted to make it more about an urban wardrobe and less about speciality pieces.”

The collection ranges from $200-800, and is available in their Matthew Williamson store located at 415 West 14th Street, NYC

Refinery29’s Summer Jam Series

On July 6th, the cleverly hip and ever so stylish fashion and beauty website, Refinery29.com kicked off their Summer Jam series at the W Downtown Hotel.

Party at the W!

While I’m not generally one to be spotted in the financial district –uh pretty much ever –okay maybe a few times a year –I make an exception for friends that are tourists and that live in the area and now Refinery29!

I grabbed a group and hit the terrace. The inside was overly happening as guests flocked to the bar. As I maneuvered my way through the crowd to grab a drink, it was a reunion and half. I ran into old friends, new friends, old coworkers (I really must be on my 10th anniversary in NY).

Great DJ’s (Caitlin Moe and Mia Moretti was spinning!), good drinks, fun crowd, amazing friends, nice breeze… What more could you ask for?

The party continues July 19th through August 30th. Get in on it!
