NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation {Review}

NARS just launched their new Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation and it’s epic. I’m going to go as far as saying it’s the best full coverage foundation I’ve every used. It covers everything, is creamy without being heavy or cakey. It lasts forever and makes me look ten years younger.

Nars Natural Radiant Longwear FoundationAvailable in 33 shades, it’s medium to full coverage, great for all skin types and literally perfect. It doesn’t oxidize, fade, finish with powder and you’re good to go all day. Makeup sits beautifully on top of it and makes me feel flawless. The formula is enhanced with a mix of fruit extracts — Raspberry, Apple and Watermelon — to smooth and improve skin for optimal radiance. I’ve had a really hard time finding my perfect shade in the past, for this launch NARS used a unique combination of a translucent base with micronized aminio-acid coated pigment sand mineral tone balancing powders to mimic skin’s tone for a close match to skin.

Side bar, I’m also in love with their Soft Matte Concealer, it’s matte and is amazing for touch ups. A little goes a long way and you just lightly dab a small about to anything that needs covering, including dark circles. Use them together and you’re set!

Holiday lips with Clarins

Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick in shade Joli Rouge might as well be called Jolly Rouge, because it’s the happiest red. My lips are always so dry and chapped in the winter and this formula is so creamy and moisturizing and goes on so smooth. It features Mango Oil and organic Marsh Samphire to condition and nourish lips for 6 hours.

Top it off with their Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in shade Honey Glam to create the perfect lip look for all your festive gatherings. One of my cardinal rules of skincare is never go to bed with your makeup on. Malin + Goetz Cannabis.

malin+goetz cannabis fragrance and candleCannabis, has been a hot topic for pain relief and beyond with 20 states having legalized it for medical purposes. And now it seems like everyday I’m reading about a new eye cream or body oils reaping the benefits from this once controversial and now ever so trendy plant. Don’t worry all the beauty products are legal in all states as they are THC-free — expect no euphoric high as a side effect, but on the up side it also doesn’t come with munchies either.

Segue to one of the most creative and hilarious mailer that arrived from Malin+Goetz promoting their new Cannabis fragrance. I had tried the candle version out last week at a SpaceNK event (how cute is this Malin+Goetz Vice Candle Set?) and was obsessed! Originally I had no real interest in trying this collection. Of all the benefits that intrigue me about cannabis, the smell has never been one for me. However when I finally spritzed it (and inhaled the candle), I didn’t smell like a stoner! Far from it.

The Sephora Holiday Sets You Should Have on your Radar

For me Sephora is the ultimate destination for beauty gifts. They have so many major value beauty and skincare sets from my favorite brands that NEVER discount past the occasional seasonal set. They also have a ton of exclusive gifts you can’t get at any other retailer. If you’re a beauty lover/hoarder there are 3 reasons you should pay attention to the holiday gifts that come out, 1) the values are insane, 2) they’re limited edition, and 3) Sephora Favorites sets are magic. Breaking down the best of all three below!

First off, if you don’t know about the “Sephora Favorites” sets, you’re missing out. They feature a range of top sellers across different brands in categories. They are a major deal and a great way to discover new products and brands you may not have tried before, mixed in with your favorites. I don’t know what the value of the Kat Von D Saint & Sinner Eyeshadow Palette ($62) is but for eyeshadow lovers, this does not disappoint, the pigments are intense, it’s so good!!!!!!!!

I’ve been a little on the down low the past week but had a few beauty headlines I wanted to share that got me excited. And some big news, Glamour asked me to judge their beauty awards for the 3rd year! It’s the start to a great month with a few more exciting things I have in the works. Happy November everyone, lets make it a productive one!

The new color line is plant and mineral based, I played with them briefly at the launch event and the lipstick pigments were amazing!

So much so that whenever I’m at the Plaza and hit the food court downstairs (which PS opened 7 years ago), I think of them, since back in the day before the space served food it had a beauty vendor which was one of the few places you could shop the brand. They’ve come so far and are absolutely killing it, especially in the highlight/bronze face category, their latest palettes are no exception!

Cate Blanchett launches Change Destiny Series with SK-II

OMG I met Cate Blanchett! And I somehow managed to not have a heart attack. As many of you know Cate Blanchett is a long time ambassador for SK-II and started using the brand 15 years when her makeup artist introduced her to their legendary Facial Treatment Essence. Considering she doesn’t look like he aged in the past decade+ you can see why many consider this product the fountain of youth.

This week, Cate Blanchett hosted the launch of the new Change Destiny Limited Edition Facial Treatment Essence series in NYC. Same iconic formula available, now available in three limited edition packaging featuring the brands Change Destiny mantras – “Be the Person You DECIDE to be”, “CHANGE is in All of Us” and “DESTINY is a Matter of Choice” – individually emblazoned across all white bottles.
