I’m a huge fan of BITE Beauty fan, although I have to admit I was late to the game with the Agave Lip Mask, which was one the brands long time best sellers. So much so they recently expanded the line to include a new Agave Sugar Lip Scrub, and Agave Lip Balm, having the trio make up their Everyday Agave Lip Collection.
This month, Essie launched an extension of its Gel Couture range with six new delicate and delightful shades as part of their Ballet Couture collection. If you’ve tried their Gel Couture line (it’s the one in the cool twist bottle), you know it’s probably one of the most long-lasting at home polishes on the market and can last up to two weeks. It’s applied like regular polish (it’s not like the in-salon gel manicures that involves a curing machine) and the other perk is it requires no base coat. In hair products it’s used to strengthen the surface of strands and protect against breakage. Moringa Oil I’m new to but after reading about it on the internet I’m utterly impressed and not sure why this is new to my vocabulary. It has a plethora of benefits for not just hair but for skin and your overall health as well. For hair though it’s great for moisturizing the scalp and also strengthening hair by delivering important minerals and vitamins to the follicles.
Essie recently introduced a brand new collection that is a hybrid line between nail color AND nail care called Treat Love & Color. We’ve seen a rise in brands creating more good-for-you nail color to address all the damage we do to our nails with non-stop nail polish application and gel manicures — Sally Hansen launched Color Therapy at the end of last year — and now Essie has launched the “BB cream of nails,” with the new Treat Love & Color collection. While Sally Hansen has gone the oil route (Argan oil to be exact), Essie’s new formula is composed of collagen, camellia leaf extracts, and brightening pigments, to strengthen and improve overall nail health over time with continuous use. They also require no bottom or top coat, which is pretty cool. See swatches and review below!
One of our favorite skincare brands, GLAMGLOW is full on entering the color zone with the launch of 10 kissable “nude” shades of their PLUMPRAGEOUS Lip Treatment ($24) this month, ranging from sultry metallic bronzes to sheer and soft pink nudes. Lets hear it for the boys! Literally. Tom Ford recently released a line of mini lipsticks, Lips & Boys featuring 25 of which are new and named after men Tom Ford admires alongside 25 of his bestsellers. Small but mighty (especially at a $36 price tag), they are so luxe and the formula has me drooling! I’m wearing this beauty as part of a project I can’t wait to announce, one of many I have over the next few months that really makes me feel like I’ve hit the next level — which I didn’t even know was achievable! But enough with the cliff hanger… for now. In this post, I’m wearing shade Logan, which is a bright fuchsia in the Metallic Finish range of this collection. The finishes based on the color vary from Matte Finish, Metallic Finish and Satin Finish. It feels amazing on and look at that sheen! I want them all, especially James so I can pretend it was named after my boyfriend, because in my fantasy world we’re Tom Ford’s friends.
I’ve been playing with some new and not so new beauty products and am overdue for a round up. But before we even talk makeup, you know how much I love a strong ring game and this week I got this fun lip ring (as in actual lips on a ring — not ring in my lips!) from Solange Azagury – Partrdige’s new Hoptlips Core Collection. Cara Delevingne has one so these are like our bff rings… jk, but it does feel like a ring every beauty blogger would want. They are available in so many fun lip shades, mine is in Black Cherry. And speaking of beauty I’m overdue to express how much I love the products in this picture.
Most of them are from events or random mailers that showed up at my apartment months and months ago — it takes me a while to try products. And these have been in my makeup case almost nonstop!
Kandee Johnson, YouTube sensation known for her absolutely amazing beauty transformations (did you see the one where she’s Donald and Hilary at the same time?!?), has partnered with SinfulColors to create a range of 24 vintage inspired nail polish shades. Consisting of two collections, Pretty Vintage, which is currently available in 12 shades, and Vintage Anime, which will be launching in February (also 12 shades), each at a phenomenal price of $1.99-$2.99.
The collection is filled with fun colors and textures (like glitter, shine and matte), all with super cute names, like Mint Chip which is the matte shade I’m wearing above. Kandee flew into NYC for the launch of her collaboration, hosted at Beauty Bar in NYC. I haven’t been there in forever but between the sparkly, glitter filled walls, candy bar and a room full of nail polish, it was pretty much full on girl nirvana. Plus Kandee is every bit as lovely and personable as she is on her YouTube channel — she’s so amazingly sweet and lovely.

When Mario Dedivanovic aka @makeupbymario comes to town, every beauty enthusiast wants a piece of him. If you follow him on social, you know he’s the real deal — and not just because he’s the preferred makeup artist to the Kardashians. Makeup artists around the world line up for his Master Class to learn from him and watch him work. His A-list clientele speaks volumes, as does the fact that his client following is so strong that he’s unavailable some will book him the night before and sleep on their backs so they are makeup ready the next day!
While I’ve meet Mario before — I once cornered him once at Khloe Kardashian event, the opportunity to watch him work in person came from Jergens, who sponsored his latest Master Class this past weekend in NYC. His legendary Master Class’s which often Kim Kardashian West as the model, are set in NY, London and Dubai.
