Fashion week always brings on a variety of nail looks. Backstage we take notes and drool over the manicures that are usually so ornate and impossible to recreate at home. However, our favorite nail artist, Miss Pop created a jaw-dropping negative space manicure using China Glaze nail polish, that is so simple to recreate but looks beyond polished and cool we had to share.

For this look she used: French Manicure Guide Stickers (the key to the look), China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat, China Glaze Meet Me in the Mirage nail polish (rosy/bronze foil metallic color) and China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

NYFW: Backstage Beauty look at Alice and Olivia S/S 2016 Collection

stila gold eyes at alice and olivia fashion showFor Alice and Olivia’s spring/summer 2016 presentation it was all about the statement eye! CEO Stacey Bendet partnered with Stila for a look that kept the face and lips natural while creating a beautiful encrusted gold statement eye. The models skin was prepped with products from Skin Inc to keep the complexion dewey and natural. Since pretty, dessert skin was such a focus on this look the models were prepped with Skin Inc’s Pure Revival Peel, nourishes with a customized serum (which is what Skin Inc is all about – you can mix and match ingredients based on your skincare goals). The skincare was then sealed in with the Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask (including under the eyes). And for the under eyes they then applied the Vitamin A Serum on top.

NYFW: A Parisian Dream at Alice + Olivia SS2015 Presentation

Alice + Olivia is one of those shows I look forward to attending every season — and it never disappoints! Stacey Bendet’s attention to detail and captivating creating a world around her collection is just further testament to her designer eye. For this year the inspiration was the beauty of Versailles represented by royally waking up from a dream in Paris. And we see this parisian princess come to life in a modern way with a chic braided silk chignon created by Michael Duenas for Schwarzkopf Professional (see how to tutorial HERE) and makeup created by Sara Lucero, Stila’s Global Director of Creative Artistry.

Alice + Olivia Opens in East Hampton

I wasn’t the only thing to hit the Hamptons this weekend… alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet opened a new store right in the shopping mecca of East Hamptons on Main street.

Just in time for the crowds of Memorial Day weekend, “We return!” says Stacey Bendet, “Our first store ever was in east, then we moved down south and now we are back!”  Located in a 1,350 square foot space at 48 Main Street, I couldn’t resist but do a little pop by and indulge in a new outfit.

What do you think? Nothing like a colorful pair of printed shorts and silk tank to brighten up my wardrobe.
