Lululemon-ing around with the Rove Foam Roller 01
The road ahead…
For the first time in a long time I’m looking to the future with a big question mark. I was considering a big life change. I love blogging but after doing it full-time for so long I thought I might want a change of pace but New York always has a way of opening doors and helping me find new ways to grow. The pull has never been so strong. I was actually supposed to be in LA for a few months but all my plans were set on hold in anticipation of what could be the biggest month for my site! My Olay campaign is seconds away from launching, Glamour Magazine asked me to judge their beauty awards for the 2nd year in a row and I’m filming a project with New Beauty and Amazon StyleCode Live. I also have something in the works with Health, Vanity Fair and Redbook and all of this gives me chills. In a good way, I’m so excited! I’m not a stranger to humbling moments and big collaborations, I’m just not used to them happening all at the same time. I’m not in the habit of comparing myself to other people so sometimes I need to take a step back to realize OMG this is a big deal!

Growth is important, no matter what stage you are in your blogging career. And so are opportunities. The fact that 9 years later this industry finds new ways to surprise and challenge me gives me hope. And hey a winter in New York isn’t so bad… at least I have warm boots. The only Sorel’s I’ve ever owned are the Joan of Arctic style, which I love but are literally for the arctic. They make my feet sweat unless it’s extremely cold outside. The perfect compromise are these Sorel Tivoli II Blanket Boot, and I love them in red!
Silk bombers and the art of layering
This season, I’ve been less about wearing one coat and more about layering. It’s getting cold in New York but all the stores and buildings are so overly heated that working in layers is easier than over heating. So I’ve been doing a light jacket with my Nike Down Cape over everything (they also have a version with sleeves). Bombers have been a big trend, and while I’m not normally a trend girl, somewhere around purchasing my fourth bomber jacket I realized I’m drinking the Kool-Aid pretty hard. My favorite though is this silk bomber jacket and pants from Yummie by Heather Thomson. It’s nice and long and looks really cute as the whole set, and with my new High Top Sneakers from FitFlop. This is my second pair of shoes from FitFlop and they have changed my life. I’ve been looking for a cool shoe brand with an orthopedic sole and these offer so much support and are so comfortable.
Just do it…
The start of a new year is always a time of reflection for me. I’m more about making goals then resolutions, and looking for ways to better myself. I’ve been traveling so much I’ve fallen off my workout schedule, so now that I’m home I’m hoping to get back into a routine. And I’ve been making a cautious effort to be more active during the day.

2016 Recap: Oh the Places We’ve Gone… (and people we met!)
2016 is going to be hard to top! I’ve had so many incredible features over the years but being in Real Simple and People StyleWatch were big moments for me! I’ve also added to my sizable list of makeup heroes spending time with the founders of Colourpop, GlamGlow, Kat Von D, Laura Geller, ByTerry, NudeStix, It Cosmetics… and the amount of celebrities from Lionel Richie, Kerry Washington, and Courtney Love that I’ve been able to meed. And so much travel!!!! I have so much to be grateful for. This was also the year I rescued Charlie and getting him healthy and being able to give him so much love is probably my biggest achievement. 2017 was too epic not to document a photo gallery and timeline of my best moments!
Sparkling into 2017
I can’t believe the year is almost done! 2016 has been a blast. Every year I like to take a day and go through every Instagram and blog post and take a moment to appreciate all the amazing memories I’ve had and shared. I’ve had so many incredible features over the years but being in Real Simple and People StyleWatch were big moments for me! I’ve also added to my sizable list of makeup heroes spending time with the founders of so many top brands ahem Kat Von D, Laura Geller, ColourPop, Ole Henrickson, Charlotte Tilbury… and their celebrity endorsers — Kerry Washington, Courtney Love and Lionel Richie are probably at the top of that list. And so much travel!!!! Plus my Urban Decay campaign I’m still dying over. Okay, I’ll stop and save the reminiscing for my next post, where I put my highlights down in one post. It’s something I recommend for everyone. Document your moments so each year you can look back at all you’ve accomplished. Be proud of yourself, even in tough times because when you come out the other end those were the moments that made you grateful for what comes next.. and you know that the best is yet to come! You just have to belive. See you next year… cheers!

Happy holidays everyone! It’s been so nice taking a break from the internet and not seeing an explosion of emails in my inbox. Before I left for Boston, I met with this really cute, new brand Ane Amour. They have a bunch of really fun party dresses, but I fell in love with these black and red shorts! They’re so festive and I’ve always loved a good shorts and tights look. The key is really strong tights that suck you in, like this pair from Yummie by Heather Thomson. I love mixing patterns and textures and between the suede Sam Edelman suede pumps, smooth bag from Coach, brocade Ane Amour shorts and my fuzzy fingerless gloves from Jocelyn, I was all up in this look.
FitFlop-ing around
Yesterday was a dream! The weather was gorgeous in New York, albeit a little cold but I woke up, had coffee on my front steps and got ready to brunch with a friend before taking a flight home to Boston to be with my family for the holidays. I’ve had some recent winter doldrums so the boost in energy and the sun had me taking out my favorite Rag & Bone sweater jackets I got on mega sale at their sample sale few years ago and some new discoveries I’m excited to share including this orange Armani Lip Magnet shade in Tangerine which is probably the first orange shade I could confidently pull off.

I wasn’t planning a posed coffee picture, but I was shooting my outfit and my photographer caught me chugging my morning cup of joe which was too candid not to share. I’m a coffee enthusiast as many of you know. My friend Melissa turned me onto Wandering Bear Coffee, which is boxed, cold-brew coffee you can get at Whole Foods and like total crack. I love a strong brew and it gives me the kick I need to get through the day, without the headache. It’s been a total time saver in the morning! Next discovery is from another friend are these FitFlop Tassel Superskate Loafers.
Art Basel Miami Diaries
Every year I look forward to going to Miami for Art Basel. It’s been nice in NYC as of late but usually by this time it’s freezing and I’m itching for the beach and some warm weather. And Art Basel is the most fun time to visit Miami! There are art shows happening non-stop (not just Art Basel, but Scope, NADA, Pulse and many others), plus so many brands are out throwing parties. And it’s a great meeting point for bloggers across the country, I love seeing everyone in Miami!
I traveled with Kristi from Currently Crushing, Joel from What Do Men Wear and my bad a$$ makeup artist bestie, Jenny Smith. We stayed at the cutest boutique hotel, The Beacon on 7th and Collins, which is a very central part of South Beach.
We covered a lot of ground in our 5 day trip with so many exciting parties and events. We met so many amazing people and saw incredible art throughout the week. One of my favorite events included a piece of art, I got to take home… my eye! LensCrafters hosted an amazing private brunch at the The Delano hotel to celebrate art and their CLAIFYE Digital Technology — basically it’s an eye exam where they scan your eyes to detect your prescription. No more crazy drops and blurred vision, it’s a total game changer — I did a few months ago (check out my experience HERE). If you’re overdue for an eye exam, definitely read that article before making an appointment. The event also featured artist Jose Vergara, who specializes in drawing eyes, how amazing is the one he did of mine!?!?!
Style Icon and my dear friend, Patricia Field was out in Miami doing a series of events and fashion shows to promote her ArtFashion initiative. Featuring one of a kind pieces hand painted by some of her top artists on display at the White Dot Gallery, you can view the current collection on her site: patriciafield.com
Wilmer Valderrama or as I like to call him Fez from That 70s Show! (I also loved him in From Prada to Nada), hosted Men’s Night Out for Macy’s private label, INC at The Oasis at The Raleigh Hotel. Lets just say there were a lot of good looking guys, a trampeline and open bar, which is pretty much the perfect recipe for fun.

Cleanse: BluePrint 3 day Foundation
After last weeks trip to North Carolina I was a mess. My stomach was over traveling. I was feeling puffy like you don’t even know from my unstoppable salt intake (I blame my soy sauce addiction), and I was in no way feeling any type of bikini ready for my trip to Cancun. Truth be told back to back traveling is exciting but it takes a mega toll on your body, and if I’m being honest my stomach has been in knots since the election which hasn’t helped anything. My body does not handle stress well. This is my first weekend back in NY for the foreseeable future and I decided to take advantage of it. Cleanse, workout and sleep (in between the massive amount of work I had to get done). I did the 3 day Blueprint Cleanse which I usually do every year (but need to upgrade to every 3-6 months). Full review below! My friends at Six:02 also hooked me up with Reebok’s HOT new Perfect Never” collection featuring Gigi Hadid — she looks amazing in the campaign boxing and being fabulous like she does. I haven’t been working out lately because of all the traveling and whenever I break my habits, I have such a hard time getting back into it! Having actual time this weekend and this sick outfit and beautiful weather definitely helped kick my a$$ back into running and more importantly stretching.
