In what could easily be described as the best event I’ve been to in the new year — and hands down most creative, the Prabal Gurung for Target launch party at Pier 57 in NYC was out of this world. Or rather out of a carnival. With classic rides, including a carousel and games you’d see at a fair, there was a break in the middle for a stage. With it being hush, hush as to who would perform when out came Ne-yo! (Who’s a fantastic entertainment — her kept the fun, energy and love theme ever present.)
The obvious highlight of the evening — besides shopping the collection, meeting Prabal!!! (And this time I actually introduced myself.) My goodness he’s the coolest! Just look at the excitement in my face…
In between the rides, food trucks lined the space (I did not leave that event hungry) and the most adorable desserts being passed around — we’re talking everything from mini apple pies to cotton candy to candy apples.
Within the large event space they created a Prabal Gurung store for guests to shop. I indulged in a few jewelry pieces I was coveting and a few tops and dresses. A few items were out of my size so come February 10th (mark your calendars!), I’ll be back at Target in hunt of the rest of the items on my list. With prices ranging from $15 – $50, this is one collection not to be missed!
