What’s better on a hot summer day than indulging in ice cream and playing with makeup? We joined the Elizabeth Arden team at Cool Mess NYC to celebrate the launch of their new Gelato Crush Color Collection, which included 22 new plumping lipsticks, 10 lip liners and 4 cheek tints. The collection launches next week so here’s a sneak peek!
Elizabeth Arden Plump Up Lip Liner, $21
Definitely the rockstar of the group, these super pigmented lipliners and boosted with peptides to plump! And they actually do! The smooth and creamy formula is great to shape and defines lips or use all over lips as a base to lock in color for long-wear. Seriously, this liner stays on so well and I definitely felt the plumping effect! I could still see the swatches after I showered. The colors are gorgeous, and available in 10 different shades. Elizabeth Arden Plush Up Lip Gelato, $26
These light-weight lip gelatos are perfect for grab-and-go summer beauty. The formula instantly cools and plumps lips, and feels absolutely amazing on thanks to mix of peptides and Hylauronic Acid to plump, Shea Butter to lock moisture in and antioxidants Vitamin A, E and Rosemary Extract to leave lips soft and nourished. The pigment isn’t so intense so for you ladies that love a bold color, this probably isn’t for you. I like to refer to it as a step above a tinted lip balm. Buildable but only in tint. These are great for the beach and hot days when you need a cooling and moisturizing lip product with a strong hint of color. Elizabeth Arden Cool Glow Cheek Tint, $26
Cooling upon contact, this water-based gel cheek tint also doubles as a cheek stain, ensuring that its not budging on those hot summer days. These tints offer a natural blush of color and have a natural, luminous finish. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, it also instantly smoothes and hydrates cheeks. There are four different shades to chose from: Coral Daze, Pink Perfection, Nectar, and Berry Rush. While these stains do blend pretty well into makeup, but make sure to apply under your powders.
