I’ve been playing with some new and not so new beauty products and am overdue for a round up. But before we even talk makeup, you know how much I love a strong ring game and this week I got this fun lip ring (as in actual lips on a ring — not ring in my lips!) from Solange Azagury – Partrdige’s new Hoptlips Core Collection. Cara Delevingne has one so these are like our bff rings… jk, but it does feel like a ring every beauty blogger would want. They are available in so many fun lip shades, mine is in Black Cherry. And speaking of beauty I’m overdue to express how much I love the products in this picture.
Most of them are from events or random mailers that showed up at my apartment months and months ago — it takes me a while to try products. And these have been in my makeup case almost nonstop!
The Estee Edit Beam Team Hydrate + Glow (which just makes me skin look so healthy and luminous) and the Flash Illuminator Fluid Powder which is one of my favorite highlighters. It gives me a lot of control to naturally highlight my face or go super crazy for a more intense cheek highlight. I also love it for under my brows to highlight.
Kate Somerville Goat Milk De-Puffing Eye Balm – I’m literally always rubbing this like a balm under my eyes! Under makeup, over makeup, when I wake up, mid day… It’s just the best for when my eyes need a pick me up. The whole collection (there’s a cleanser and moisturizer in the line as well!) is amazing for sensitive skin and is so gentle. They also just launched a serum I’m itching for!
Georgie Faux Lashes No. 5 Midnight Muse, which is the perfect, “I want a full lash, without being over the top. I LOVE these lashes! I’m on my third time wearing them, I try to preserve my lashes when they are quality!) and Clear Lash Adhesive non-toxic faux lash adhesive. First off my eyes are really sensitive and this glue, maybe because it’s non-toxic or whatever goes into being peta/vegan certified but it doesn’t bother my eyes and holds everything in place. I found this line at Blue Mercury and it’s a gem!
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination – I loved the original Bye Bye Under Eye and the new illumination just has a little brightener added so I look less tired. And I’m always tired so this product is a regular on my face. It has lots of coverage and I even use it as a concealer around my mouth and other places on my face.
Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadow in Raw Power – I need more of her eyeshadows. The formulations are beautiful and blend so well. I didn’t know how I’d feel about this shade since it’s like a metallic bronzed red but it’s so pretty on, that other than the black eyeliner it’s the only shade I’m wearing. It’s incredibly buildable, I went on the lighter side and had no fall out and the formula is so smooth!
YSL Lip Liner #11 Plum – This is one of those lipliners that if they ever discontinued I’d need notice so I can literally buy 50. And they have me nervous since I only seem to be able to get this color off their site. It’s the most perfect plum-wine shade and I can get the most precise line with it. Or you can blend it into your lipstick to alter the shade as I did in the photo of me (I put it under the Lorac Pro in Pink Taupe, blended then added a balm). Normally, I am not a fan of sharpening pencils but I will happily make an exception for my favorite lipliner.
Lorac Pro Matte Lip Color in Pink Taupe – I love a good matte that’s wears comfortably, I can even add a gloss or balm on top without my lips piling. It’s more nude than pink but has just a hint and I love this shade with a wine liner for some definition.
NARS Kohliner Eyeliner pencil is another favorite, so much so that this is (teardrop) the last use. I burn through these eyeliners… I’m a total black eyeliner junkie! It’s easy twist packaging makes it so you never need to sharpen, it’s a dark black which I love for my waterline and bottom lash to smoke out a little.
Too Faced Sketch Marker Liquid Eyeliner – I’m usually so loyal to Stila and Kat Von D’s liquid eyeliner that I get lazy with trying others. Big mistake! From the packaging (which is always epic with TooFaced), it looks like a pen, to the formula, which is really dark black — my personal preference! The tip is so fine that it’s easy to make a thin line or fill in for a thicker one. It’s also great for using with false lashes to fill in any gaps and also push them down to make sure they stay in place while the glue is drying.
