Stila Beauty Haul Review: Huge Mascara, Cushion Eye Liner, Stay All Day Bronzer and more!

Stila has had a non-stop reign of really amazing product launches. I’ve literally loved everything I’ve recently tried. And on top of that they have launched two beauty boxes that everyone should have on their radar as it can get you 50% off retail! (I’ll get to them at the bottom of the post), but first here are some new winners in my beauty arsenal:

Huge Extreme Lash Mascara – Very similar to the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara, this mascara lives up to it’s namesake and makes my lashes huge and thick. It curls with tons of volume with a creamy formula that doesn’t flake and is long lasting. 1-2 coats is all you need (let it dry between coats!) and it’s a show stopper.

Lash Stunner Extreme Lash Primer – I’m really lazy when it comes to lash primers, I just use the mascaras that I really like and expect them to do it all. That said, this product has turned me onto their awesomeness. The smudge-proof primer has a proprietary blend of soft waxes and thickening agents that sculpts lashes so it helps make them full and extend the wear time of whatever mascara you put on top. It’s like an eyelash curler and mascara extender in one. I also like that it’s a more neutral shade as opposed to white. That’s been a huge turn off in the past when trying other ones.

La Quill Precision Eye Liner Brush and Got Inked Cushion Eye Liner –  I’ll admit I thought the quill pen was a little cheesy until I tried it and am obsessed! (The feather does come off). The Cushion Eye Liners are amazing! Available in 6 beautiful shades from black to jewel tones they are easy to apply with the brush and offer this deep midnight pigment. The pot has a cushion sponge where you dip the brush in to create an easy cat eye. What I also like is you can control the thickness and even go all over the eye lid (although they don’t advertise it past a liner) for a deep impact, beautiful eye. It’s also smudge-proof, waterproof and lasts forever — and ophthalmologist tested and approved suitable for sensitive eyes (which I have) and contact lenses wearers.

Stay All Day Bronzer for Face & Body – These are amazing! I love matte bronzers but a lot of them can look really heavy on. It must be that it’s a matte-satin finish because it blends perfectly and is lightweight, I don’t feel like it’s sitting on top of my makeup. It comes in 3 shades: light, medium and dark. I go between the medium and deep shade depending on if I want a more natural bronze or a deeper shade to contour with. Neither look ashy or orange, just a perfect bronze. It’s definitely the type of bronzer you can go up in a shade if you like a deeper pigment and it will still work for your skin tone. The coverage is buildable and is water resistant so it doesn’t streak — this is huge for me since my eyes water all the time in the cold and I hate when I get water marks.

Now for the beauty boxes! As I mentioned they are a major deal at 50% off of what you’d pay at retail. And limited edition so if you’re thinking about it get on it soon! There are two options, one filled with some of the new products I described above and the second has their classic best sellers. Here are the options:
Stila Modern Goddess beauty box
It’s $42 ($83 value) and includes their artistry-proven products from Stila‘s Fall 2015 Modern Goddess collection including:

Beginners box:

stila Beginners box

It’s $39 ($78 value) and for the first time gives any newcomers or Stila vetrans access to their best sellers at a deep discount. Handpicked by Stila‘s lead makeup artist, Sarah Lucero from her work on the runway the set includes:
  • Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black
  • One Step Correct
  • Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick in Beso

First off, Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is my favorite liquid eye liner on the market. It’s their #1 seller and literally the best. It’s dark black and easy to use. I’m also a huge fan of their Liquid Lipsticks. Beso is their classic red and they recently launched an extension of shades which I can’t get enough of. They go on liquid and dry matte and don’t budge. Super pigmented! I haven’t played as much with the One Step Correct since I think it works best when my skin is oily which it hasn’t been as much lately. Those with oily skin and/or enlarged pores will have a deeper love for this classic.
