Hi loves, I’m partnering with Target to share all kinds of easy, cool nail looks for summer! While New York’s unofficial color may be black, once summer hits I’m all about the vibrant hues the streets of NYC has to offer. From the flowers at the farmers markets to the great street art around every corner, it’s the beautiful arrays of bright shades that inspire me. And what easier way to incorporate some color into your look than with nail polish?
Whether you’re into a more classic cool or artsy cool, I created two easy looks using the new Essie Neon summer 2015 collection to help get you inspired. No special tools, stickers or accessories required.
Classic Cool dot manicure inspired by flowers: 
This is a two-color scheme nail look that can easily be translated into the two-tone shades of your choice. For this I used two coats of Essie shade Groove is in the Heart for the base. Then using the shade Vibrant Vibes, I quickly dabbed a small dot at the bottom center of each nail. Simple but that small dot makes for such a polished addition.
Artsy Cool dot manicure inspired by street art:
Take the look one step further for a more edgy, colorful effect by exaggerating the dot and adding some additional shades to the line up. Similar to the Classic Cool look I did, we start with two coats of Essie shade Groove is in the Heart for the base. Then starting at the bottom center of the nail, do an exaggerated dot using shade Vibrant Vibes. I then worked my way up using the rest of the shades from the Essie Neon collection. Following Vibrant Vibes, from the bottom to top I dabbed shades All Access Pass, Melody Maker, Make Some Noise followed by Coacha’bella at the top of the nail. The best part about this look is the dabs don’t have to be even or uniform to create that cool-girl effect. Imperfection is still perfect!
