Day 3 (April 13th) could not have come with a better start. Glasses.com, the official eyewear sponsor of Coachella invited us to their VIP Glasses Half Full Coachella Party, which was like rehab for the soul. The space was so relaxing and beautiful, there was a live piano player and healthy bites from Fat Radish. Our fellow NYC pals, Vanity Projects we’re also at the event offering cool nail art and manicures. We lounged around the compound and visited the gifting suites from Sandro New York, Caeden headphones (which are a super cool design) and glasses.com. I found a pair of Rivet & Sway glasses that matched my hair perfectly and didn’t take them off the rest of the day (see pictured below).
My Jewel Bar also hosted a DIY necklace station which Patricia Field and I had a ball at. They have an amazing assortment of pre-designed jewelry or you can design your own necklace or bracelet for around $20 and under, they make a great gift! James even joined in and his own necklace. Be sure to check them out at myjewelbar.com.
We then headed to the The Music Lounge Pool party presented by MUDD and Ocean Pacific Brunch. We hung out with our friends at BMF and Pat had an awesome surprise reunion with longtime friend, Carmen Electra. We also met up with Misshapes and played in the photo booth.
We then headed back to the Parker hotel for the Pandora runway presentation of WHiT. We sat front row with Tracy Reese (who showed her collection the day before) and my LA blogger love, Dawn from Beauty Frosting.
We then headed back to the Pandora house and played with all of their amazing jewelry. (PS. these are the Rivet & Sway glasses I was talking about from the glasses.com party!).
Once we had our jewelry fix, we headed over to the Sabo Skirt party. If you’re not familiar, they are an awesome clothing brand out of Australia that has everything you could ever want for music festival season (and fun summer-wear). Sponsored by Flash Tattoos they hosted a pool party at a private estate in Palm Springs and showcased their current collection as well as some new offerings from Skull Candy headphones – these are a new design that is geared towards women and their unique hearing ranges, a result of years of R&D.
We were so tired from the weekend we gave our Coachella passes to our valet (and considering Marina and the Diamonds, Ryan Adams, Florence and the Machine, David Guetta and Drake (with his smooch from Madonna) were performing that night, he was thrilled!
As a big music lover I learned a good lesson that day: you can either do the parties in Palm Springs or the music festival. Doing both is insanity (and exhausting). So my plan for next year is to stay a week in Palm Springs and for Weekend 1 Coachella hit all the parties and then for Weekend 2 just do the music festival.
