As you can probably imagine I’ve been to my fair share of spas but I’m embarrassed the say, that past my immediate family, I’ve never done a spa day with the girls. Maybe it’s because I work in the industry, or subliminally consider being pampered my “me” time but if there’s one thing I learned it’s everything it’s cracked up to be in the movies.
To celebrate the fabulous Felicia Walker Benson of This That Beauty ringing in her 40th birthday, my fellow blogger loves and I headed up to The Garden City Hotel in for the opening of Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Spa.
The Long Island landmark and destination for travelers worldwide, the new Red Door Spa is located within a 7,000 square foot lower level complex complete with six deluxe treatment rooms (including a couples suite), five mani/pedi thrones, a full service hair salon as well as a salt-water pool and fitness center (available for guests to enjoy before or after their treatment).
While visiting I indulged in the signature massage which I highly recommend. I asked for deep pressure and came out a new woman. For anyone looking for a relaxing day out, this is the perfect sanctuary. While there be sure to make a reservation upstairs at the Garden City Hotel. We had an extravagant culinary experience to celebrate Felicia and with Valentine’s Day around the corner this could make for one romantic staycation.
