In December we posted about the launch of Living Proof’s new Restore collection consisting of a shampoo, conditioner, and mask treatment. Now the innovative hair brand is expanding the collection with the launch of 3 new products: Restore Targeted Repair Cream (designed to add shine and prevent split ends), Revitalizing Spray (which consists of pro-vitamins to strengthen hair and protect against heat and UV damage for up to 24 hours) and Recovery Regimen (which is a weekly anti-damage ampoule treatment, formulated to repair frequently colored, chemically processed and overly stressed hair). Additionally, they have launched the Discovery Set, which is a 3-peice set that includes a 2-week supply of their Restore Shampoo (2oz), Conditioner (2oz) and Mask Treatment (1oz).

What I like most about the Restore collection is it’s designed to repair dry and damaged hair and serve more like a hair diet to revert hair back to it’s “virgin hair” state. Once your hair is restored, you can move on to one of their other haircare lines, or mix and match as I like to do. Originally when I started using the collection, I needed the shampoo, conditioner and treatment mask. Now I’ve graduated from the shampoo and conditioner and just use the treatment mask on my ends every week or so. It smooths the cuticle and makes my hair ultra soft. Case and point being that my hair is too healthy to use all three products and I much prefer to use their Frizz shampoo and conditioner as my long-term choice. However, since getting an ombre my ends still suffer from added dryness and split ends, so the treatment mask has been a great staple to my hair routine.
With the launch of the new Restore Recovery Regimen, I did use it in place of the Restore Treatment Mask, but found they worked very similarly for my hair since it’s really designed for extremely damaged and over-processed hair, and I’m not quite their with my ends.
I’m in love with the Restore Revitalizing Spray — I was in dire need of adding a UV protectant to my hair routine to ward any future sun damage and it’s super lightweight so it doesn’t interfere with the other styling products in my routine or weigh my hair down. Plus is helps protect against heat damage which I need since I regularly flat iron my hair. As for the Restore Targeted Repair Cream, I’ll have to get back to you… I’m testing that product on my (un)naturally blonde bombshell roommate and will have an update for you shortly.
