I don’t know what to say except island life is really agreeing with me. I don’t know that I’ve ever been so relaxed. Mykonos really agrees with me. I have no concept of what time it is or even what day it is. Patricia Field threw the most fabulous party and runway show for her ARTFASHION x Apostolos Mitropoulous collaboration on the island (I’ll be posting the video and images shortly), and she’s been the most amazing host.
Her friends are incredible, full of life and just so happen to have the best taste in restaurants — great food with exceptional views of the water. Speaking of her friends, Darren Star and Debi Mazar came from filming the finale of Younger to be at the show (are you all watching? Because it’s one of the best comedy shows out right now, plus Patricia Field is styling it!). And yes, Debi Mazar
Gigi Hadid sure knows how to throw a party! The #ShowYourVogue party celebrated the launch of Gigi’s recent capsule collection with Vogue Eyewear. Decked out in an all pink Barbie-esque ensemble, the 22 year old model launched her line of sunnies in the most fabulous way possible.
Held at The Industria NYC, the venue was split into different booths that uniquely expressed the different sunglass styles, and created unlimited selfie opportunities. One booth included sink faucets that served rosé and white wine complete with a bathtub full of wine, another boasted models dressed in retro garb baking sweet treats in a 60’s inspired kitchen, as well as one other booth had bad-ass looking models in tinted frames playing poker at a round table (complete with Gigi x Vogue playing cards, of course). Guests had the option to borrow disposable cameras to take Instagram worthy polaroids, as well as walk the mini red carpet that was setup in the front.
I don’t know if I’ve ever experienced anything as magical as the Rodarte Spring/Summer 2018 fashion show during Couture Week in Paris. The Mulleavy sisters really brought it for their first showing in Paris. No detail was left unturned.
For this trip I was with the nail sponsor for the show, Morgan Taylor Lacquer, and had the pleasure of joining in on the nail tests and getting to watch their lead artist, Tracylee Percival in action. I’ve known Tracylee for years, she’s the best of the best but getting to watch her vision come to life… she’s a genius and an incredible artist. Just look at this look she created using real flowers — and my small part in bringing her vision to life!
Paris for Couture Week is like nothing I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve done Paris and New York Fashion Week on repeat. For this trip I was with the Morgan Taylor Lacquer team, who traveled to do the nails for Proenza Schouler and Rodarte’s Couture Week shows. Here’s a quick video from behind the scenes and also at the show for Proenza Schouler (I’ll have a video up soon on Rodarte!). It was really cool to be apart of the nail tests, which is when the nail team joins the hair and makeup team before the show at the designer’s studio they they can test and make the final decisions on the beauty look.
We did our beauty test the day before the Proenza Schouler show. Based on the designers vision, Morgan Taylor lead artist, Vu Nguyen along with Taylor Daniel (or as I like to call her THE Taylor of Morgan Taylor), put forth some dark reds and burgundies, as well as some variations of nudes with different top coats. Ultimately they settled on their deep burgundy, “Take the Lead” shade for some of the models and the others were met with just a single coat of “Matte’s A Wrap” over a well manicured nail for a more minimalist look.
It was a modern take on a minimalist look with the matte top coat, while the deep burgundy choice was all about going against the grain for spring (move over pastels) and challenging tradition.
Then came show day, and right down to the invitations the show was gorgeous (see photo above and shop my jewelry HERE). Set at the Lycée Jacques-Decour, a school built in the 19th century, the label sent down beautiful prints, slim fit dresses with cut outs, straps, and texture down the runway to a dramatic beat (I’m sorry I had to cut the music, Youtube is a challenge with any music you don’t have the rights to), but you can catch the show finale in the video above.
Bonjour from Paris! It’s been an incredible few days exploring the city with Morgan Taylor Lacquer. They are doing the nails for the Rodarte and Proenza Schouler runway shows at Paris Couture Week. I’ve been behind the close door of Rodarte with the designers, hair, nail and makeup team come together and all I can say is this is a show that beauty lovers aren’t going to want miss! The nails are being led by my girl, and literally my nail queen, Tracelee (Links: blog + Instagram) — if you don’t know her, you should. And if you’re wondering why I’ve put her on a pedestal, I don’t give crowns out easily, just wait until you see her nail look! Couture shows, deserve couture nails so get ready! And this Morgan Taylor look is not to be missed! You can follow my adventures in Paris on Instagram + Instagram Stories, we have the 2nd nail test at Rodarte today, Proenza Scouler tomorrow and I’ll be backstage at both shows and the actual runway shows on Sunday, so stay tuned for an exciting weekend! Extra, Extra! I had so much fun teaming up with Sunglass Hut and EXTRA to share the must have sunglass style of the season with host, AJ Calloway. I had an absolute blast on Tuesday co-hosting Sunglass Hut’s Facebook live with actress, activist and fellow dog lover, Sophia Bush. We were live from the Made for Summer event in Times Square where Sophia shared her current top 3 picks for summer. Somehow the genius’ behind the event were able to live stream the chat and some photos above the store which was pretty epic since I can’t believe my face was on a billboard in prime Times Square! Sophia was amazing, such a warm and charitable — not to mention stunning person. You can watch our Facebook live here and head to the bottom of this post for Sophia’s picks.
Did you miss Sophia Bush on Facebook Live yesterday? We’ve got you covered. Check out all the best moments and Sophia’s favorite summer styles. #MadeForSummer #ShadesOfYouShop Sophia's picks: sgls.ht/SophiaBush

It was a perfect night and I’m so grateful to all my friends and readers who came out to the event and watched us live on Facebook! My outfit details (thank you Eliza J and Swarovski for outfitting me!):
It was back to the races with me this weekend, only this time to judge the Longines Fashion Contest during at the 149th Belmont Stakes for the Racing Festival. Presented by NYRA Bets and Longines, contestants put their best foot and hat forward on the ‘Most Elegant Woman’ catwalk for a chance to win the Longines Prize of Elegance and their DolveVita timepiece. And these ladies brought it! 149th Belmont Stakes Longines Competation from prettyconnected on Vimeo. Here’s a quick look at the event and our top 10 finalists! Such diverse style and so many incredible hats, it wasn’t an easy choice. I joined fellow judges, Tom Murro, Entertainment TV Host and Huffington post columnist and New York Jets, Brent Qvale, and style writer, Laura Brookins as we narrowed down our top 10 and ultimately giving first place to Leckie Roberts — I mean she had a clock as her hat — it was pretty impressive. She wore Ted Baker with a Chanel bag and custom hat from East Village Hats.
On Saturday, the gang and I headed to Greenpoint for the Nylon Magazine Music Issue Celebration, which I’m actually in. Granted it’s a small photo from their Coachella event, but I’ll take it! The event was super cute at House of Vans in Greenpoint and hosted by Tove Lo and Charli XCX and the perfect excuse to wear this freakin fabulous dress from Boohoo.
Also not gonna lie, I had my best shopping day on Friday. I woke up so busy from that week with no idea what I was going to wear and somehow the fairy fashion gods heard me. Besides scoring the Boohoo dress at that morning, my Kendal + Kylie Cassie sunglasses arrived. As much as I want to pretend I’m not that impressed by them, I’d be completely lying, they are amazing! One sunglass style is cooler than the next, I literally want them all! Check them out next time you’re in Nordstrom or online and you’ll see what I mean! Before the Nylon party I also stopped by Six:02 for the launch of artist Sue Tsai collaboration with Reflex, how amazing is this denim jacket? She made some really cool pieces, but this was my favorite. And there you have it, literally wore my usual stash of rings, threw on some black booties and a black cap and was good to go!
A lot of you ask about my rings and honestly I just collect over time. I love Moonstone Magic, they have a lot of really cool stalking rings in silver and moonstone accents. I also collect dainty evil eye rings, from random boutiques and also wear my Moonstone Magic one all the time. My Boss ring is sold out on Bando but I also found it on Snash Jewelry, I’ve never ordered from them but I’m tempted to get it in silver too!
My cameo in Nylon from their Coachella party with Milk Makeup — do you see me? It’s okay, I’m the tiny one on the right with my hands in the air above the caption. Also shout out to these awesome MilkMakeup products I’ve been wearing on repeat. Links below!
Cheers to Veuve Clicquot and an even more so epic Polo Classic in celebration of their 10 year anniversary. Hosted at Liberty State Park the usual star-studded celebration stepped up what is already my most favorite and glamorous drinking event of the year. And the perfect excuse to get dressed up and do some quality day drinking with friends. I went a little more boho this year wearing the Sam Edelman Tilly Suede sandal with an Eliza J Maxi Dress which I took the belt off the waist and used it as a head scarf and then put a white crop top over the dress.
Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris with a special musical performance by Alicia Keys, which Rose Garden ticket holders had first access to on the field — we were front row! Which made it especially exciting when she walked out wearing a piece from my good friend Patricia Field’s Art Fashion collection. The ‘She’s the Boss’ Cape is a custom painted piece by Iris Barbee Bonner which is available by inquiry on PatriciaField.com and a limited run is at Bergdorf Goodman in Linda’s Closet. It’s so epic! As was Alicia Keys performance. I felt like I could reach out and touch her. Cheers to Veuve Clicquot as well for donating to Alicia Keys charity Keep a Child Alive, a non-profit organization working to support children and families affected by HIV.
The 10th anniversary celebration also featured two limited edition items available for purchase to commemorate the afternoon fête – the Veuve Clicquot Polo Arrow and the Veuve Clicquot x Fendi Bag Charm, which are apart of the #FendiRoadTrip pop-up shop. I couldn’t resist, I’ve been eyeing those Fendi puffs for some time so I’m excited to add one to my collection. Especially since it’s limited edition and a great reminder of this perfect day.
What can I say, Champagne + Cute Horses + Scenery + Dressing Up = A very excited attendee (aka me). Especially getting to do it with James and so many of our friends. This event falls a week after the anniversary of our first dates so I think of it as our celebration. This is our first Veuve Clicquot Classic and something we look forward to every year!
