While you may be familiar with Brandon Boyd’s through his voice, the singer is also an artist! Check out his “Garbage Pail Whale” drawing which was used in the shirts designed as part of his collection. Tonight’s event will also be an art show featuring the original works from the collection as well as Boyd will paint a mural on a wall of the Hurley Space.
How did this all get started? “My relationship with Hurley began over a decade ago and was born of a mutual appreciation for surfing, music, art and like minds. We have done projects together in the past but it seemed like it was time we truly put our collective heads together to make a real dent in a situation that affects us all, most importantly the swiftly growing problems in our oceans. We start herein as surfers and musicians, and are moving forward as stewards of our Island,” says Boyd.
The limited edition Brandon Boyd for Hurley collection will be available beginning April 15th on Hurley.com with a portion of the sales to benefit H.O.P.E.
