Pretty Connected Accessories Launch Party

Pretty Connected launch party Sponsored by Bumble Bizz, Sunglass Hut and LeSportsac all photographed in this photo. Photo Credit: White Honey

The Pretty Connected brand has evolved so much over the past decade from when I first started as a beauty blogger/reporter 10 years ago! I was helping brands like NARS, Kiehl’s, Jurlique in marketing and grow before getting into the blogger world, with no idea blogs/social/influencers would explode to what they are now. Now we’ve expanded the content range to include fashion, travel, lifestyle and beyond and the doors Pretty Connected(™) has opened to major campaigns, magazine features, TV appearances and beyond still blows my mind. In 2014 we added, Share Your Beauty, an amazing non-profit program we started with Family-to-Family to help donate beauty products to women’s shelters and now we’re in a new chapter, my Pretty Connected accessories line.

Katya Kulyzhka + I rocking the Lara Chains + SandraD cell phone jacket. Charlie’s leash is a combination of our Jamie Strap + Lara mini chain.

Our multi-purpose straps have grown such a cult following, almost as big as our BOSS rings, which have been worn by so many powerhouses from Drew Barrymore, Patricia Field to Chloe Kim!

Alexa Luria, Ashlee Glazer, Val Greenberg showing off all the uses of our chain straps from a camera, to waterbottle and flip flop strap. Add it to you makeup case to make it a wristlet.

I recently launched with Urban Outfitters and our online store has grown so much to include bags, reusable straws and cell phone jackets, that we needed a party to celebrate and properly launch my little brand that could.

Our LeSportsac bag is packed, lets go on a Pretty Connected journey through my timeline.

Since the House of Pretty Connected (should I start calling it that, lol!) has so many parts I wanted to take guests on a journey through the Pretty Connected World and my brands evolution over the past decade! We made passports for their trip and had each gifting stations gave them as a stamp as they traveled through my story.

@savionron Pretty Connected passport ready for her trip…

The journey began with…

LeSportsac: Guests started at LeSportsac where they picked out their travel bag for our journey through Pretty Connected world!

LeSportsac makeup bag with our strap + folding reusable Suck Up straw!

Pretty Connected x LeSportsac HISTORY: LeSportsac runs my charity and since 2014 has helped me bag (in their bags!) over 130,000 beauty products to donate to women’s shelters, I’ve also literally traveled the world in their luggage and bags.

Patricia Field enjoying an Essie manicure

Essie: Next they headed to Essie for manicures (because you need a mani on your trip!) and enjoyed shades from the new Spring collection!

Essie x Pretty Connected HISTORY: Essie was one of my first major campaigns (in 2012) when they put me in a BaubleBar x Essie campaign). We’ve also enjoyed many fashion weeks together, and was honored to have Alicia Torello (@aliciatnails) who leads their fashion weeks and who I’ve been backstage with covering her nail looks for years!).S

Sunglass Hut: Next stop Sunglass Hut, because you can’t not travel without the chicest sunglasses. From top brands including Ray-Ban, Prada, Versace, Miu Miu and more, Sunglass Hut has everything to fit your style, and convenient locations, everywhere, which when you’re a girl on the go, like me you appreciate. My obsession with sunglasses is no secret so it was truly special for me to share them with my guests. Our History: I’ve done several TV segments and spokesperson work for Sunglass Hut and they have been apart of major milestones from doing Extra at Universal Studios in LA with Mario Lopez, to being streamed across Times Square for interviewing Sophia Bush on her top sunglass picks, this a brand I truly cherish and love to promote!

Stila Cosmetics: They next headed to Stila Cosmetics, for a makeover (you have to look good for your passport photo), and were gifted the new Beauty Boss lip gloss (I’m wearing shade “in the red” in all my photos). After the amount of beauty awards I’ve judged from Glamour’s to ICMAD and beauty boss features I’ve had in Heath, Elle, Marie Claire, New Beauty and beyond, you can appreciate my excitement over a Beauty Boss lip gloss. Stila was also the first liquid eyeliner I fell in love with and we’ve enjoyed a long history of launches and fashion weeks together.

Erno Laszlo: The brand that introduced me to charcoal before it became an ‘it’ ingredient and constantly pushes innovation (their Exfoliate & Detox Hydrogel Mask will change your life). Erno Laszlo generously gifted their new Hydra-Therapy collection (Serum + Foaming Cleanser), Pore Cleansing Clay Mask and the new Multi-Task Eye Serum Masks (you know how obsessed I am with eye gels – these were a life saver for my sleep deprived, puffy eyes!). Literally everything you need to keep your skin plump and get photo/travel ready!

White Honey photography! Thank you Coterie Party (cups + photobooth signs) and Pura Still for sponsoring the Pretty Connected launch! PS: How chic are our reusable folding straws!

White Honey Photo Studio: White Honey is the top studio for photography and go to for top beauty brands from SkinCeuticals, Chanel, Kiehl’s, L’Occitane, SuperGoop, Marc Jacobs beauty (I could go on all day, check their work out HERE). OUR HISTORY: When I launched the website for Pretty Connected Shop, they did the photoshoot and have been my amazing partners for this next chapter and handling my product photography. They also shot some of my favorite beauty campaigns and excel in lifestyle, flat lays, head shots and product shots — so basically everything.

@rachelgregson passport photo aka headshot by White Honey

For the event White Honey offered 3 photoshoot rooms for all the guests photo needs. We had a Passport Shoot (jk we were doing headshots but for the sake of the theme lets call it passport shots). We also had a flat lay station, and a lifestyle room which Nourison, one of my favorite interior and carpet brands designed. The throw pillows, the poufs (which are a steal for $90!) and carpets are all from them! And so are the carpets in my apartment. I’m so glad they came on board to help re-create my home (although it’s a bit of fake news for me to pretend my living room is this organized and epic!). I love them because they are affordable and have so many amazing styles. You can also find a lot of their products on Overstock for an absolute steal!

Welcome to my Nourison filled living room where LeSportsac bags and Williamsburg Pizza is always in abundance.

Williamsburg Pizza: It’s no secret I’m a HUGE fan, I’ve been with them since their first opening in Williamsburg and now several locations later (Williamsburg, LES, UES, Clinton Hill, 310 Bowery Bar and soon to be Union Sq!), I’m so proud to be apart of their story as much as they are apart of mine. Over the years from when I hosted Patricia Field’s showroom party to other events which they have sponsored the pizza for. They are my one true addiction and favorite vice. They are also the first brand I did a Pretty Connected collaboration straw with and their iconic “Fresh” logo. Check them out HERE.

@sy.wendy’s amazing Pretty Connected Lara Chain DIY charm bar strap

The trip ended with a Pretty Connected shop DIY bar where guests could customize their straps with charms and a BOSS ring bar to get them fitted for their rings. Our Boss club is growing and I can’t tell you the joy it brings me to see my rings on so many powerful, smart, beautiful women (and men!).

We then through an epic 150+ person launch party with Bumble Bizz filled with brands, pr/TV peoples and friends who are the reason I get to do what I do! I’m a super networker, and while I planned this party and did all myself, it was my partners that made it possible. Bumble Bizz app, is the app version of who I am. It connects you with business professionals to fill the skills you need to grow your business and network. It’s such a gift and I wish I had it when I started out 10 years ago in this blog and brand world. Now it’s an even bigger gift as I get ready for my next launches (you didn’t think I was stopping here?). Grow your network friends, you never know who you’ll meet that will change your life.

Also thank you to Fotocare for the equipment rental. Pura Still (spiked still water!), Gin Lane 1751, Q Mixers, The Kohas Agency, Thalassa Restaurant, Tsantali wines for the drinks! And Coterie Party for the cups, plates and for the balloons and party decorations. And special thanks to my sister Renee, Makeda of Glamazon Diaries / Glamazon Photo, and Lorna from The Fabulous Report for helping me run the show. I could not have done this without you.

Now for the fun! Coachella is coming up and all of our products are epic for music festival season, enjoy 20% off discount this month with code GETPRETTYCONNECTED on prettyconnected.com/shop

I hope you enjoyed the ride! I consider all of you a part of my journey.
Every reader, supporter… If you’ve liked a photo of mine on Instagram or read any of my articles, then you’ve been a part of my growth, and for that I can’t thank you enough. Ten years is a long time to be blogging and as I’m still a one woman show, I really owe it my friends and supporters for being able to pull everything off!

Speaking of which our handles are @prettyconnected / @prettyconnectedshop.

DIY Strap + Essie Spring 2018

essie spring 2018 collection includes shades, perfect mate, at the helm, passport to sail, anchor down stripes, and sails bon boy-age

I’ve been having a lot of fun customizing my camera straps with nail polish. In my latest DIY I used my new Nikki silver strap and drizzled the Essie Spring 2018, hook, line and sinker! collection featuring some nautically chic shades including:

  • Anchor Down – pretty blue washed with pewter gray undertones
  • Stripes and Sail – intense teal green
  • Bon Boy-age – a nautical mint green
  • Pass-port to Sail – soft sandy beige lightly splashed in ivory shimmer
  • Perfect Mate – coral pink
  • At the Helm – a fire orange tinged with salmon red

My Big Announcement! My Camera and Bag Straps Just Launched!

Pretty Connected Camera StrapCamera straps, bag straps and Boss rings. It’s the moment I’ve been waiting a very long time for. I have finally launched my Pretty Connected™ accessories line. While I’ll be focusing on DIY events and brand partnerships (I have some really cool ones coming up!), my first collection is a line of basic straps I want to encourage anyone who purchases to customize. Decorate them with with pins, flat back charms, patches, studs… and have fun! I have spent the last month living at Michael’s and M&J Trimming coming up with really cool DIY ideas for all of you and crafting on my straps.  I’ll be sharing my DIY ideas in blog posts coming soon to help inspire you!

For some inspiration though, these are a few of my favorite quick DIY’s I did over the weekend with my Jamie strap. It’s amazing what a few stars or trimming does for the design.

As some of you know, for the past 4 years I’ve been making my own camera straps since I refuse to look all cute and then wear a big Sony or Canon branded camera strap around my neck. And while there are some alternatives online, I had a hard time finding one that I connected with so I started making my own. And a lot of you have noticed and asked me about them over the years and finally, I got my act together and created a line. I love to travel and accessorize so I want to make camera straps that can easily be switched out based on your mood and outfit. I hinted at the launch last fashion week when I debuted one of the straps I made on the runway for the Livari fashion show I walked in.

PC Featured on Heaven Has Heels!

Heaven Has Heels, Lara Eurdolian

This week I was featured on Heaven Has Heels as part of an editor’s “We never leave home without…” series. My answer, sunglasses! Or to be exact, “Sunnies. I pack at least two or three pairs.” (And for the record when I was asked the question it was in reference to traveling… I don’t actually carry three pairs of sunglasses in my purse.)

Check out the spread in their summer issue:

Lucky Shops 2011 VIP Night Recap

Makeda from Glamazon Diaries, Lara (me), Eileen from Miss Who Ever You Are

What an exciting weekend! Friday night I was one of the featured bloggers for Lucky Magazine’s Lucky Shops VIP event (you may have noticed me tweeting up a storm).  I partnered with the publication to serve on their blogger committee which was nothing short of fabulous; I was so honored to be working with them.

The VIP event kicked off the annual Lucky Shops, which is 3-day shopping event, where dozens of our favorite designers sell their merchandise at up to 70%! It’s a fashionista’s dream, which NYC is not short on; so needless to say, it was packed.

My fellow committee members included  (check out their awesome blogs!): New York Girl Style, Miss Whoever You Are, My Style Pill, The Beauty File, Cheetah is the new Black, Nubia’s Nonsense, Audrey Allure, Honestly WTF, Cheap Chicas, Platinum Blonde Life, Style Cusp, Glamazone Diaries and of course myself, Pretty Connected.

On the red carpet...

Bloggers unite!

I met the glam team at Bloom Beauty Lounge to start the night out right with some blow-outs and styling. I went with my signature blowout with a some added curls and volume (I call it the Victoria’s Secret model blow-out) to compliment my awesome outfit  [Shirt/Shorts/Boots: Nicole Miller; Tights: Joe Fresh; Necklace: Banana Republic; Belt: The Limited]. Once our hair was red-carpet ready, that’s just where we headed — to the red carpet where we joined the likes of  Bridget Moynahan, Kaylee DeFer, Iman, Susan Lucci, Rachel Roy, Katina Bowden, and Erika Dasher to have our pictures taken and have exclusive coverage opportunities. Then on to go shopping!

Brandon Holly, Mary Alice Stephenson and Mrchy Bloom

My Lucky Shops Outfil {Nicole Miller Shirt/Shorts/Boots}

I invited a few friends at the event and we bee-lined it to Rebecca Minkoff, and all walked away with a new purses. We circled the ground floor and then made our way upstairs to the Hunter Dixon booth. I’m new to their designs but am keeping them on my radar since I wanted everything in their booth! After settling on a pair of pants and skirt (my dates bought up just dresses and tops), it was time to move on. Two Lucky Shop shopping bags full later, I was cut off.

In love with my new Rebecca Minkoff bag!

We then headed to the Lucky Shops after-party at the Crosby hotel for a private advanced screening of Jane by Design starring Erica Dasher, Andie MacDowell and a whole lotta good looking men. As someone who probably doesn’t watch enough television, let alone ABC Family, I found it entertaining and fun without being cheesy (as I find most shows geared towards teenagers to be). If follows unpopular (although very fashion forward) high school student, Jane (Erica Dasher) as she applies for a fashion internship and instead mistaken for an adult, accidentally lands a part-time job. For the love of fashion, I’m sure this show will suck me right in — although it doesn’t premiere until January 23rd, so you’ll just have to wait to see what I’m talking about.

Thank you Lucky Magazine for a great night and the amazing opportunity to work together!

Pretty Connected Photo Credit in Elle!

How exciting! My first MAJOR photo credit in Elle!!! As most of you know I partnered with supermodel, extraordinaire, Elettra Wiedmann to join the PR team for her GOODNESS pop-up restaurant during New York Fashion Week. Elettra is also the face of Lancome and during GOODNESS, Lancome hosted a private beauty editor event — as in literally all my hero’s in the beauty industry were there (*contain excitement*)!

My first Elle photo credit! Look it says "Photo: Lara Eurdolian/Pretty Connected"
My first Elle photo credit! Look it says "Photo: Lara Eurdolian/Pretty Connected"

And fortunately for me, they asked if I would shoot the event! While I’m an amateur photographer at best, I have to say, I did pretty good for myself!

I mean seriously, how beautiful does Elettra look in this picture?!?! It’s a good thing she’s flawless — it made my  job super easy! And I’m so grateful to Elle for such a thorough photo credit! “Photo: Lara Eurdolian/Pretty Connected”, MAJOR!!!

Pretty Connected Featured on The Look on TPN

Behind the scenes with Maggie Rulli

A few weeks ago, The Look, a new show on The Pulse Network, asked to interview me for a fashion and beauty segment. Hosted by the fabulous Maggie Rulli, The Look, is all about helping women be their most fabulous self by going behind the scenes and interviewing experts in health, beauty/skincare and the fashion industry.

The first of my two segments just aired! So here’s me talking spring fashion trends!

So what’s spring all about? 70’s, 70’s, 70’s. From the maxi dresses to high wasted pants the 70’s are what’s hot for right now. Platform shoes, cork and wood wedges. Well what am I still writing about, watch the segment! It’s all in there.
