The Pretty Connected brand has evolved so much over the past decade from when I first started as a beauty blogger/reporter 10 years ago! I was helping brands like NARS, Kiehl’s, Jurlique in marketing and grow before getting into the blogger world, with no idea blogs/social/influencers would explode to what they are now. Now we’ve expanded the content range to include fashion, travel, lifestyle and beyond and the doors Pretty Connected(™) has opened to major campaigns, magazine features, TV appearances and beyond still blows my mind. In 2014 we added, Share Your Beauty, an amazing non-profit program we started with Family-to-Family to help donate beauty products to women’s shelters and now we’re in a new chapter, my Pretty Connected accessories line.
Our multi-purpose straps have grown such a cult following, almost as big as our BOSS rings, which have been worn by so many powerhouses from Drew Barrymore, Patricia Field to Chloe Kim!
I recently launched with Urban Outfitters and our online store has grown so much to include bags, reusable straws and cell phone jackets, that we needed a party to celebrate and properly launch my little brand that could.
Since the House of Pretty Connected (should I start calling it that, lol!) has so many parts I wanted to take guests on a journey through the Pretty Connected World and my brands evolution over the past decade! We made passports for their trip and had each gifting stations gave them as a stamp as they traveled through my story.
I’ve been having a lot of fun customizing my camera straps with nail polish. In my latest DIY I used my new Nikki silver strap and drizzled the Essie Spring 2018, hook, line and sinker! collection featuring some nautically chic shades including:
Anchor Down – pretty blue washed with pewter gray undertones
Camera straps, bag straps and Boss rings. It’s the moment I’ve been waiting a very long time for. I have finally launched my Pretty Connected™ accessories line. While I’ll be focusing on DIY events and brand partnerships (I have some really cool ones coming up!), my first collection is a line of basic straps I want to encourage anyone who purchases to customize. Decorate them with with pins, flat back charms, patches, studs… and have fun! I have spent the last month living at Michael’s and M&J Trimming coming up with really cool DIY ideas for all of you and crafting on my straps. I’ll be sharing my DIY ideas in blog posts coming soon to help inspire you!
For some inspiration though, these are a few of my favorite quick DIY’s I did over the weekend with my Jamie strap. It’s amazing what a few stars or trimming does for the design.
As some of you know, for the past 4 years I’ve been making my own camera straps since I refuse to look all cute and then wear a big Sony or Canon branded camera strap around my neck. And while there are some alternatives online, I had a hard time finding one that I connected with so I started making my own. And a lot of you have noticed and asked me about them over the years and finally, I got my act together and created a line. I love to travel and accessorize so I want to make camera straps that can easily be switched out based on your mood and outfit. I hinted at the launch last fashion week when I debuted one of the straps I made on the runway for the Livari fashion show I walked in.
This week I was featured on Heaven Has Heels as part of an editor’s “We never leave home without…” series. My answer, sunglasses! Or to be exact, “Sunnies. I pack at least two or three pairs.” (And for the record when I was asked the question it was in reference to traveling… I don’t actually carry three pairs of sunglasses in my purse.)

Last week I gushed over Smashbox’s new Camera Ready BB Cream with SPF 35 (read my review HERE), and I’m so excited to be one of the featured bloggers for their their BB Cream campaign! And that’s all good news for you, because we want you to be apart of it too! Smashbox is doing a fun interactive video to give you the in studio photo-shoot experience and the chance to win a year’s supply of BB Cream!
Here’s how it works: Starting April 2nd, go to Smashbox’s Facebook page (click HERE). Then on the “Lights, Camera BB Cream tab” simply upload 5 pictures of yourself and then your video will be made! You can then share it with your friends and get them to vote for you! Every week, the video with the most votes wins a year’s supply of BB Cream, plus more Smashbox faves. It’s so easy and literally takes 2 minutes to do.
As one of the featured bloggers, I got a sneak peek into the app, and made my video! Check it out below or you can view it HERE.
Now go out there and make your own! It’s so quick and easy (and fun!). Don’t forget to share your video with me. Leave a comment with the link or tweet it to me @PrettyConnected. xxLara
What an exciting weekend! Friday night I was one of the featured bloggers for Lucky Magazine’sLucky Shops VIP event (you may have noticed me tweeting up a storm). I partnered with the publication to serve on their blogger committee which was nothing short of fabulous; I was so honored to be working with them.
The VIP event kicked off the annual Lucky Shops, which is 3-day shopping event, where dozens of our favorite designers sell their merchandise at up to 70%! It’s a fashionista’s dream, which NYC is not short on; so needless to say, it was packed.
I met the glam team at Bloom Beauty Lounge to start the night out right with some blow-outs and styling. I went with my signature blowout with a some added curls and volume (I call it the Victoria’s Secret model blow-out) to compliment my awesome outfit [Shirt/Shorts/Boots: Nicole Miller; Tights: Joe Fresh; Necklace: Banana Republic; Belt: The Limited]. Once our hair was red-carpet ready, that’s just where we headed — to the red carpet where we joined the likes of Bridget Moynahan, Kaylee DeFer, Iman, Susan Lucci, Rachel Roy, Katina Bowden, and Erika Dasher to have our pictures taken and have exclusive coverage opportunities. Then on to go shopping!
I invited a few friends at the event and we bee-lined it to Rebecca Minkoff, and all walked away with a new purses. We circled the ground floor and then made our way upstairs to the Hunter Dixon booth. I’m new to their designs but am keeping them on my radar since I wanted everything in their booth! After settling on a pair of pants and skirt (my dates bought up just dresses and tops), it was time to move on. Two Lucky Shop shopping bags full later, I was cut off.
We then headed to the Lucky Shops after-party at the Crosby hotel for a private advanced screening of Jane by Design starring Erica Dasher, Andie MacDowell and a whole lotta good looking men. As someone who probably doesn’t watch enough television, let alone ABC Family, I found it entertaining and fun without being cheesy (as I find most shows geared towards teenagers to be). If follows unpopular (although very fashion forward) high school student, Jane (Erica Dasher) as she applies for a fashion internship and instead mistaken for an adult, accidentally lands a part-time job. For the love of fashion, I’m sure this show will suck me right in — although it doesn’t premiere until January 23rd, so you’ll just have to wait to see what I’m talking about.
Thank you Lucky Magazine for a great night and the amazing opportunity to work together!
How exciting! My first MAJOR photo credit in Elle!!! As most of you know I partnered with supermodel, extraordinaire, Elettra Wiedmann to join the PR team for her GOODNESS pop-up restaurant during New York Fashion Week. Elettra is also the face of Lancome and during GOODNESS, Lancome hosted a private beauty editor event — as in literally all my hero’s in the beauty industry were there (*contain excitement*)!
And fortunately for me, they asked if I would shoot the event! While I’m an amateur photographer at best, I have to say, I did pretty good for myself!
I mean seriously, how beautiful does Elettra look in this picture?!?! It’s a good thing she’s flawless — it made my job super easy! And I’m so grateful to Elle for such a thorough photo credit! “Photo: Lara Eurdolian/Pretty Connected”, MAJOR!!!
A few weeks ago, The Look, a new show on The Pulse Network, asked to interview me for a fashion and beauty segment. Hosted by the fabulous Maggie Rulli, The Look, is all about helping women be their most fabulous self by going behind the scenes and interviewing experts in health, beauty/skincare and the fashion industry.
The first of my two segments just aired! So here’s me talking spring fashion trends!
So what’s spring all about? 70’s, 70’s, 70’s. From the maxi dresses to high wasted pants the 70’s are what’s hot for right now. Platform shoes, cork and wood wedges. Well what am I still writing about, watch the segment! It’s all in there.
