It’s amazing how trends come and go but a Little Black Dress remains a timeless staple. I’m on the road a lot so versatility is key for me. I love a dress I can refresh to go from day to night – like this one from Pure Navy I found on Gilt.

I have confessed more then a few times on the blog that my guilty pleasure (slash terrible habit) is late night snacking. And my favorite dessert is chocolate covered strawberries so the ease of Dole Dippers Dark Chocolate Covered Real Strawberry Halves in my fridge is kind of the best ever – which is only enhanced by the fact that they are only 60 calories a bag! Made with real frozen fruit and 67% cocoa dark chocolate, day or night, and especially in this heat wave, it’s the perfect way to satisfy those chocolate cravings. Just be sure to give them about 3-5 minutes out of the fridge to thaw – although sometimes I can’t wait and take the tooth freeze.

It’s a creamy texture that offers full coverage, easy to blend and makes your skin look flawless. Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed are staples. The Secret Camouflage takes any tired eyes away and the Skin Perfector is the finishing touch that by the time I’m on this step my skin looks flawless and illuminated. Dior Show Mascara and Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner I’ve been using forever. I love a big comb mascara to volumize and fill out my lashes and the Stila Liquid Liner is so easy to apply and doesn’t move. My latest discovery is Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat (lipliner) in shade Bad Romance, is the perfect wine to match Tom Ford’s limited edition Black Orchid Lip Color, which is a definite splurge, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel like a million bucks every time I put it on.

Avon’s mark Names Lucy Hale Beauty Brand Ambassador, Robert Pattinson gets Tapped for Dior Homme Fragrances

It started with Lauren Conrad, then Ashley Greene, and now the baton has been passed to the Pretty Little Liars star, Lucy Hale as the new Beauty Brand Ambassador to Avon’s mark. In addition to appearing in digital and print campaigns for the brand, Hale will also be the spokesperson for the m.powerment campaign, mark’s philanthropic effort dedicated to breaking the cycle of dating abuse and partner violence against young women.

“I’m incredibly proud to partner with a brand that is as passionate about empowering women as I am,” Hale said. “I’ve been a fan of mark’s products for years, but it was important to me to work with a brand that is truly about beauty on the inside and the outside.”

Her debut campaign will be mark’s August Magalog, as the official 10th Birthday issue for the brand.

October is special month, when brands rally together to help raise awareness and funds to help fight against breast cancer.  This year for BCA month, I received a record number of emails by brands participating, so as I weed through (and I’ll try to update this as more come through), here’s a list of how some companies are showing their support:

Marion Cotillard Joins Franz Ferdinand to Sing Lead Vocals for Dior

According to the Daily Express, Nine actress, Marion Cotillard is teaming up with rocker Franz Ferdinand to sing lead vocals in the new Dior commercial.  As the face of the brand, Cotillard will also star in the commercial.  The song? Franz Ferdinand’s Eyes of Mars.
