Sue Devitt Hydrating Marine Minerals Destination Eye & Cheek Palette

Be-cheek my heart! Given my addiction to pink blushes and bronzers, when I came across Sue Devitt’s new Hydrating Marine Minerals Destination Eye & Cheek Palette in Solomon Islands, it was love at first site.  A perfect gradation of pink to gold, the hues can be blended together for a variety of looks which you can customize to create your perfect shade.  I greatly appreciate that since I love to mix and match or for back of a better term – play.

My personal preference is to use the light pink as a highlighter under my eyebrow while applying the more bronze shade across my face and the sheerer pink on my cheekbone for a perfect sun kissed look.  Apply with a brush and the colors blend very naturally and evenly onto skin.  The colors are sheerer then they appear in the picture, which really allows you

PROM: Class of 2010 Brought to You by Joonbug and FashionIndie

Joonbug.com and FashionIndie.com took the NYC party scene by storm when throwing a benefit for The Society of Independent Fashion Journalists at Espace this month.  Naming the event PROM: Class of 2010, I had no idea what was in store, but like any good New Yorker, I don’t need much of an excuse to put on a party dress and get ready to expect the unexpected.

The space was definitely prom worthy, as we’re the guests who took the dress attire very seriously –I even overheard the girl in the ladies room say she is wearing her dress from senior year. Impressive considering mine should be burned (I still can not believe I ever wore a sea-foam green Jessica McClintok princess dress –by choice). Great 80s and 90s classics had the dance floor packed; there was even a performance by the St. John Cheerleaders!  They really delivered all the perks of prom, with the added bonus of being old enough to enjoy an open bar.  The only thing missing was

Cheat Sheet for Running a Half Marathon

About a months ago, I posted about my experience running my first NYC Half Marathon. To sum it up, the most I’d ever run prior to that day was 4 miles (and I can count on three fingers how many times that was).   Yet somehow despite all of this I managed to run the 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 11 minutes.  The strange part being I did it without stopping and quite easily.  Or rather the crazy part considering I’m not a runner.

So now for the big question everyone (and I mean every friend, acquaintance, and person I ever worked or went to school with) has been asking me, how did I do it?

First off, I’ll start with:

  • Have a positive attitude and some confidence in yourself. Seriously, if I can do it anyone who is physically able probably can.
  • Once you’ve established you’re going to try to run it, don’t
