Isaac Mizrahi for Kleinfeld 2012 Bridal Collection + Runway Show

On April 18th at Kleinfeld presented the ISAAC MIZRAHI New York for Klienfeld 2012 bridal collection in NYC with an intimate runway show and celebratory reception. I had never been to Kleinfeld’s before and was completely taken by it’s serenity and elegance of the store.

The show opened and out came the models sporting tight, low buns with flowing gowns. 15 dresses in the collection, which had an abundance of tulle, sparkles, sachets and contrast of white and black. The black laces up some of the white dresses was a surprise touch as was the finale black gown.

“Affordable” Art Show – Now Open through April 22nd

Okay art fans, collectors, and decorators, it’s that time of year; the Affordable Art Fair kicked off last night in NYC. Running through April 22nd, the show features contemporary art pieces from over 75 galleries. Located at 7 West 34th street, there’s a bit of a battle to get through the lobby of the building. Once you do and make it to the elevators (and up to the 11th floor), it’s like teleporting out of midtown and an endless art gallery. Spacious, with booth after booth of an eclectic array of paintings in mixed mediums and limited assortment of photography and sculptures.

If so, John Frieda‘s International Creative Consultant, Harry Josh has some advice — beginning with taking your time. “A perfect blowout can last for days,” says Harry. “Taking the time to do it correcting may be an extra ten minutes, but you’ll have gorgeous hair at least 24 hours. It’s not worth rushing it!”

Step One: Prep Your Hair
Take a good look at your hair type and identify its weakness: Frizz? Damage from heat styling? Lack of volume? When you get out of the shower, apply a pre-blowout product which targets that weakness. If you have frizzy hair, apply Frizz-Ease (Original Formula Hair Serum or the new Sheer Solution Lightweight Frizz Control, if you have fine hair) to soaking wet hair to combat frizz. Henri Bendel Fall Preview

You know how I live for these Henri Bendel sneak peeks… For fall, expect some of the same bag silhouettes as we saw in summer as well as new shapes to be discovered with a whole new range of prints including leopard, fun metallics, colorful Aztec-like patterns and pink/orange/black color blocking prints.
