So while in St. Louis, the lovely people at Alive Magazine took us to the Naturalizer shoe store in the Galleria mall, where we met with the brand representatives and learned about the three lines carried in the store, BZEES, NAYA and of course Naturalizer. And we got to pick a pair! Go figure the ones I end up with are named LARA ($99, on sale for $69.99)… I like to think it was named after me or at the very least we were meant to be!

Since the line is all about feeding your hair the way you would your body (and they are giving the products away in a food truck) — see a theme? So, to give back, they are collecting non-perishable food items for Reaching Out Communities, Inc. There’s three collections in the Hair Food Care System: Moisture (honey apricot scent), which consists of a shampoo, conditioner and hair mask designed hydrate and soften strands for healthier looking hair; Volume (Kiwi scent), which is comprised of a volume shampoo, conditioner designed to give hair an energizing, bouncy volume, and a leave-on Thickening Hair Treatment that penetrates each strand to strengthen hair; and Cleansing (Strawberry and ginger scent), which offers a cleansing shampoo to remove hair buildup and restore hair’s natural beauty and luster.

During my visit to St. Louis last week for St. Louis Fashion Week, Alive Magazine and Explore St. Louis set up a tour where we boarded the Fun Tyme Limo Tour Bus — which was beyond spacious for our 10+ person ride.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been in St. Louis for the past week. I flew in for their Fashion Week and to host the after-party and am so beyond inspired and excited by everything coming out of that city. Alive Magazine planned my entire trip and the fashion show itself and they should be so proud of what they created. The sense of community and level of quality and detail rivals new york.
