PC & IHC Featured on Beauty Stat!

Screen Shot 2014-07-30 at 3.21.23 PM

Lately, I feel like I have one exciting announcement after another — with much more to come! I have so much to share with you guys but for right now I’m so delighted that Beauty Stat asked to feature me on their site and talk about my “Tomgirl’s Guide to Beauty”. As some of you know I started the style blog, In His Clothes, where one item of each look is either mens or menswear inspired, while the rest of the outfit is free game.

Tomgirl is a term I coined this year when I started the blog, which unlike tomboy style (which is all about dressing like the boys), Tomgirl style is borrowing from them but keeping a feminine edge. I like to think of it as boy meets girl – converse with dresses, motorcycle jackets over flowy skirts, heels with boyfriend jeans… You get my drift. And since beauty plays a big role in everything I do from a bold lip to a matte nail, read my tomgirl’s guide on BeautyStat.com to learn my must-have products! (The image above is just the intro, you have to click HERE to see my picks!)

PC Nair Campaign Part 3: Short Shorts Style Guide

As some of you may have seen I did a really cute series for Nair and Glam.com, sharing different beauty tips. Now in my 3rd video we’re talking short shorts! Since these were Glam.com’s tips (I was just the model), I wanted to add a few of my own which is make sure you have a pair of denim shorts that are so versatile you could wear everyday (but wouldn’t) and black shorts that you can take from day to night!

PC’s Nair Campaign Part 2: How to Keep Your Skin Silky Smooth

Last week I shared the first part of my campaign with Nair on How To Maintain A Gorgeous Glow Throughout The Year! This week we’re talking how to “Keep Your Skin Silky Smooth During Summer.” Check it out! xo

Summer Sunlight Activity: Make an Herb Garden!

Earlier this month I so impressed by Unilever’s latest film for their Project Sunlight program, “The Way Kids See it,” which features kids from all over the world and how they make a difference. From wanting clean, trash-free beaches to helping bring food to members of their community, the video and Project Sunlight’s site is incredibly inspiring and the website features a bunch of different, fun activities and ways to live more sustainably.

My friends at HSN (Home Shopping Network) recently revamped their skin care page to help readers find a solution for their specific skin care concerns (check it out HERE) and asked me to share my best tips for being, Safe and Stylish in the Sun on my other blog, InHisClothes.com and I’m so all about sun protection (as I hope many of you are too!) that I wanted to share my tips here as well! So decked out in some of my new favorite from White House Black Market here it goes:

Pretty Connected Launches In His Clothes Blog! (& I Need YOUR Help!)

In His Clothes Blog

As some of you may have seen on my social channels, I started a new style blog, In His Clothes (InHisClothes.com).

In His Clothes examines the influence of menswear in women’s style. From varsity jackets to boyfriend jeans to oversized watches, I want to see how women incorporate a piece of menswear (or menswear inspired) item into their look. Does that mean I want dude looking outfits head to toe? No! Keep it feminine, edgy, rocker or however you define your style; the point of this blog is to explore how women incorporate menswear into their look.

We see articles about it all the time, celebrity features, street style (by the way if you see any of those articles in your daily website scans, please send them my way!

How many times have you adopted a piece of clothing from your boyfriend or seen something on a guy and thought, I want that?

If that sounds like you or someone you know with great personal style, have them email us a picture for the chance to be featured on this blog! (Please include links to who you are wearing and how you would like to be credited).

Interested? Email me at [email protected]

Check us out at InHisClothes.com and I’ll be so grateful if you follow us @InHis Clothes on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram!

PC Video With L’Oreal: Learn How to Ombre Your Hair At Home

Lara Eurdolian, L'Oreal Feria Ombre Kit Review

So how exciting is this! I partnered with Beauty High to show you how to ombré your hair at home using the NEW L’Oréal Paris’ Feria at-home ombré hair dye kit.

Have you always wanted to try the ombré hair trend but didn’t want to spend the money or time at a salon? Well now you don’t have to! L’Oréal Paris’ Feria at-home ombré hair dye kit is an easy at-home kit at a fraction of the cost of salons and it took me less then an hour to do my locks! Plus nothing beats being in the comfort of your own home when getting your hair did (especially since most of the time you’re just sitting around). And for anyone that already has an ombre but it’s fading or growing out, this kit is the easiest (and most inexpensive way) to help you maintain your look.

Considering summer is here, what better time to try out a fun new hairstyle? For someone like me who has dark hair, I don’t have a lot of options, especially given that I have long hair and don’t want to fry my roots (or cut it to do something and different). An ombre is the best solution since it looks good with any hair color and  hair length, and it’s such low maintenance — you don’t have to worry about your roots growing in! Plus, you decide how low or high the ombre goes. For me I like it at the bottom so if by the end of summer I’m over it, it’s just an easy hair cut from going away. Minimal commitment needed.

In the video above, I show you how to get the look and home and walk you through the steps of using the L’oréal Feria Wild Ombré Hair Kit. The whole process took maybe an hour and could not have been easier!

Step 1: Make sure your hair is dry and detangled, and put on the plastic safety gloves.

Step 2: Put the shimmering powder packet into the bottle, put the flat cap on, and shake. Put the lightening cream into the bottle, put the flat cap on and shake. Then replace with the applicator cap.

Step 3: Part your hair naturally and clip your top layer of hair up to access the bottom layer of your hair.

Step 4: Squeeze the dye evenly onto the applicator brush, and brush it onto the bottom parts of your hair that you would like ombré. Add more product until the lengths are completely saturated, and let sit for 25 minutes.

Step 5: Use the conditioning shampoo, rinse, and style as usual!

Now all you need is to pick up a kit for yourself and you’re ready to DIY ombré your hair at home!

Share Your Beauty Partners with LeSportsac – Now you can drop off your beauty products in NYC!

beauty products donated to share your beauty

As some of you know I’ve been working on creating a more sustainable beauty industry and have been partnering with brands, editors and bloggers since February to get their un-used/unopened beauty products donated to homeless and battered women’s shelters.

Beauty bloggers/editors get so many products they can’t give it away fast enough. And did you know that when brands discontinue a product or change the packaging they usually destroy any leftover products in their warehouse? Think of all those people in need that they could go to! And up until now there wasn’t a viable solution which I’m so happy to be on the forefront of creating!

A few months back I partnered with the non-profit organization, Family-to-Family to develop a Beauty donation program called “Share Your Beauty“, which allows anyone to donate any unopened beauty products to those in need.

Now in only our 4th month in existence, I’m so excited to announce not only have we donated over 12,000 products and as of today we’re officially partnering with LeSportsac!!!! Anyone in NYC is welcome to drop off to the LeSportsac corporate office  located in Times Square where we will be doing monthly donations to various shelters in the tristate area.

We’re accepting unopened beauty products (hair, skincare, body products, makeup, nail polish and fragrance) — please do not include anything too complicated like self tanners or fake eyelashes (use your judgement).

Prior to drop off or messengering products, please email us at [email protected] so we can have your name added to the security list and notify LeSportsac how much bags/boxes or products they can expect. Please bring a valid ID when dropping off. Unless you prefer to go through the messengering center which does not require registration.

Making a Difference! PC Launches Share your Beauty Program

20140501-100038.jpg

Last night was probably one of the most exceptional events I’ve ever had the please of putting on. For new years my #1 resolution was to give back and be apart of a more sustainable industry and last night it all came full circle. In February, I received an email from the non-profit, Family-to-Family about wanted to drop off beauty products to homeless shelters for Valentine’s Day. Instead of doing a post about it, I offered to run a drive out of NYC and work with local beauty bloggers and brands to do a collection.
