I’m in love with every piece she gave me. These incredible stacking bracelets and wrapped earrings are so unique and the colors brighten the most muted of outfits.

LeSportsac Gets a New Look
For all of my fellow LeSportsac fans, I have some news! For Spring 2016 LeSportsac is getting a new look. While that may not sound like good news, it is! Rest assured fun prints and solids in our favorite silhouettes: backpacks, makeup cases and travel/workout bags are still in the collection. They’ve just updated the material so that it’s lighter then ever and added some new styles and enhanced functionality features.
Their new motto is “Holds everything weighs nothing” and it’s so true! It literally weighs nothing and are the most lightweight bags I’ve ever felt. I always recommended in travel stories to pack an extra bag in your suitcase in case you shop. And the new bags are beyond perfect for that.

Stepping out in Teysha Handmade Shoes
Before leaving for Europe a friend of mine introduced me to Teysha, an amazing shoe brand that supports artisan communities throughout the Americas.
Their handmade shoes, each one of a kind help create flourishing communities and artistic expression through sustainable fashion by combining heritage quality goods with traditionally informed artistry. They have a really cool assortment of flats and boots for both men and women. I wore them non-stop during my travels.
Celebrating the Pantone Colors of the Year: Serenity and Rose Quartz
It’s a boy, it’s a girl, nope it’s Pantone’s color of year! Or rather color”s” of the year. The 2016 Pantone colors have been revealed and it’s Pantone 15-3919 Serenity and PANTONE 13-1520 Rose Quartz. And what better way to celebrate then to break out the balloons and do a photoshoot.
If you don’t think that the color of the year has an impact, let me tell you! As soon as Pantone announces, I get non-stop emails from brands pointing out which shades match the colors the closest. The brand tells us the selection of the two colors was meant to be a “harmonious pairing of inviting shades that embody a mindset of tranquility and inner peace”. (We like the sound of that!). There’s also a lot of talk about gender equality and how the colors do not stand for one sex or the other but are meant to convey a sense of compatibility, comfort, calmness, balance and wellness. It’s a little funny talking about a gender blur which is very relevant to the times and then picking a classic baby blue and pink shade as the colors but I like the intention and meaning none the less. Also I think we can all stand for some more tranquility and inner (and outer) peace in the new year.
With a playful escapism as the theme the pairing of shades can be expressed through prints, plaids, color blocking, and of course makeup! Pantone has set a number of collaborations including with Sephora, Pink, KitchenAid. They also have an exclusive print with American Flat and of course the signature Pantone Color of the Year Mug, which is now a staple in my kitchen.
Pictured above, some stylish options from PINK. The Pantone 1026 Color of the Year is offered in shirts and accessories throughout the brand’s collection both as seasonal and core pieces. Highlights include the Gibson classic fit shirt in superior, the Elephant Family Print tie, BX Middlton Check Boxers and Odd Spot sock featured above. Also featured is the PANTON Universe mug I mentioned before. It’s dual sided to represent both shades as well the Pantone Color of the Year 2016 Fragrance, Harmony. Created by Firmenich, Harmony is an airy and delicate fragrance with notes of Centifolia Rose, crystalline Musks and a velvety Incense.
Weekend Style: Hanes off Duty
I know it’s probably a sign that the world is coming to an end when we’re hitting mid-60 degree weather in December but it’s hard not to be all smiles about how beautiful it is out. When I’m not running around to events I’m all about comfort clothing. A sweatshirt, some boyfriend jeans and a pair comfortable boots is the sign of a good weekend. I’m actually pretty obsessed with these Amos by Leila Stone boots. I’ve been looking for a pair of wine colored boots for a while and I got these during fashion week from ShoeDazzle. They are a pleather lace-up Oxford bootie so they can get totally rained on without an ounce of damage.
Weekend Must Do: Creed Collective #CCPOP Holiday Charity Pop Up Shop
If you’re in NYC this weekend, the Creeds Collective will pop open its doors for a 3-day #CCPOP Holiday Charity Pop Up shopping event in NYC’s Meatpacking District from Friday December 11th – Sunday the 13th. In partnership Redbird Gallery, located directly across the way from the Whitney Museum, the 2nd annual holiday gift emporium will feature Men’s and Women’s brands across accessories, beauty, grooming, home, lifestyle, food and wellness categories – integrated among an array of outrageous activities and lounges.
There are so many amazing brands participating including Theory of Gaia, who’s Pin Stripe Blazer I’m wearing in the photo above. I want everything from them! I’ve also been checking out the list of other designers and there are so many cool new lines that are now on my radar.
Taking on winter with DSW and Sorel
It’s the holiday season and time to deck the halls and update your shoe closet for all that’s to come. Whatever the occasion DSW has every shoe and boot you’ll need this holiday season from top brands at great prices. From boots to booties to sparkle pumps — whether it’s a last minute holiday party or there’s a snowstorm on the horizon — DSW has everything you need to stay festive, on trend and most importantly warm this holiday season.
If growing up in Boston and moving to New York taught me one thing it’s that investing in a pair of winter boots is a necessity. Especially if you factor in how crazy these past two winters have been! Whether it’s a gift for yourself or someone you care about this holiday season, nothing says I love you like your feet won’t freeze to death this winter.
While different styles come and go the Sorel Joan of Arctic Snow Boot has been a favorite of mine and it’s a classic that never goes out of style. They make trudging through the snow fun and are indestructible. This isn’t a boot that will fall apart on you after one season but rather a great investment you’ll enjoy for years to come.
Primark Launches in the US!
One of my favorite shopping discoveries while in Europe was Primark, an on trend clothing store (much like what you’d see from Forever21 and H&M) except dare I say it’s even cheaper!? The retailer recently launched in the US starting with Boston and as of last week is now in King of Prussia (more locations coming soon!). While I was home for the holiday I visiting their Boston location in Downtown Crossing, which was massive! They have an extensive women’s collection (clothes, pajamas, workout apparel, shoes accessories, beauty, plus-size, and beyond), as well as men’s, home, and even a holiday section to get your decorations on. What’s possibly more shocking then the assortment is the price. My entire outfit, jacket, jeans, top, sweater and shoes cost less than $101!
Primark outfit details:
Jacket: Mono Check Faux Fur Collar Crombie Coat, $46
Top: Yellow and Blue Longline Check Shirt, $15
Sweater: Chunky Sweater, $16
Pants: Skinny Pencil Jeans, $5.78
Shoes: Tan Pointed Slim Platform Heel $18
Grand total spent, $100.78! And that’s with nothing being on sale. Ah-maz-ing! Check them out at primark.com
Accessories Council Top Picks for the Holiday
Every season I stop by the Accessories Council to see their top jewelry and accessory picks for the season. The #actoppicks (the hashtag you can follow for all the social remarks) event introduced so many cool new brands the most exciting being this awesome The Third Piece Beanie and Sheep Shades I haven’t taken off since. I’m also adding John Brevard to my wishlist, he has this Stella Thimble ring I’ve been dreaming of ever since! Here’s what they have on their radar:
