Well my loves, there’s a new hair line on the block and it’s void of Silicone, Parabens and Mineral Oil! Welcome HAIR FOOD an exclusive line of shampoos, conditioners, masks and treatments exclusive to Target.
Taking try before you buy to a whole new level, they are giving away FULL-SIZED Hair Food product away this Saturday, October 25th from 11am-5pm at the Hair Food Truck located on Fulton Street & South Elliott Place in Brooklyn. So stop by and join me in trying this new line. Hair Food Care System’s expertly crafted recipes blend naturally-inspired ingredients and fragrances to revitalize your hair.
Since the line is all about feeding your hair the way you would your body (and they are giving the products away in a food truck) — see a theme? So, to give back, they are collecting non-perishable food items for Reaching Out Communities, Inc. So pay it forward and check your cabinets for any unused cans and perishables and lets make a difference together.
There’s three collections in the Hair Food Care System: Moisture (honey apricot scent), which consists of a shampoo, conditioner and hair mask designed hydrate and soften strands for healthier looking hair; Volume (Kiwi scent), which is comprised of a volume shampoo, conditioner designed to give hair an energizing, bouncy volume, and a leave-on Thickening Hair Treatment that penetrates each strand to strengthen hair; and Cleansing (Strawberry and ginger scent), which offers a cleansing shampoo to remove hair buildup and restore hair’s natural beauty and luster.
Shall we give it a whirl? I’ll be there Saturday to visit the truck and learn more about the line so meet me there or if you have any questions tweet me @prettyconnected and I’ll be happy to ask the experts!

Last night was a great night for fashion and beauty! My first stop was to the Old Navy + Joe Zee Fashion Week Party. Hosted at XYZ in NYC, the event included a candy bar, metallic faux tattoo parlor, make your own eye-palette station as well as a tee and scarf gifting station (I went with the “Take me to Paris” tee.
