Nivea names Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza as Kiss Ambassador Couple and announce the “Kiss of the Year” Contest

On Wednesday evening, I was invited to R Lounge in the Renaissance Times Square hotel for Nivea’s announcement of their newest Celebrity Kiss Ambassador Couple and unveiling of the 2013 New Year’s Eve Program. And the couple is… Extra’s (and now X Factor host) Mario Lopez (or as I prefer, AC Slater) and fiance Courtney Mazza!

Mario and Courtney took the stage and announced Nivea’s “Kiss of the Year Contest” on Facebook which will award one lucky couple the opportunity to ring in the New Year with them on the NIVEA Kiss Stage in New York City’s Times Square and have their New Year’s Eve Kiss featured in Us Weekly! Petra Nemcova lights the Empire State Building for Only Make Believe on Broadway

This afternoon, model, television host, and philanthropist, Petra Nemcova, flipped the switch to light the Empire State Building in honor of Only Make Believenon-profit organization that creates and performs interactive theatre for children in hospitals and care facilities. on Broadway.

I unfortunately missed the lighting ceremony so I just took a walk to the waterfront to see the Empire State Building lit purple, blue and yellow, the colors of Only Make Believe in celebration of their annual gala, Only Make Believe on Broadway.

Go look outside your window! (Provided you have a view)

Get the Look: 2 Broke Girls’ Hairstylist Reveals How-To’s used on the CBS Set

Lets face it for CBS’s hit comedy series, 2 Broke Girls, the lead characters Max (Kat Denning) and Caroline (Beth Behrs) may be broke, but there hair never looks anything short of healthy and fresh out of a salon — Max with her gorgeous frizz-free curls, and Caroline with her shiny blonde not-a-hair-out-of-place locks. Recipient of the 2012 People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Comedy, CBS’s 2 Broke Girls is a fan favorite starring the double duty beauty team of actresses Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs. Using White Sands Hair Care, Celebrity Hairstylist Pixie Schwartz shares how she transforms the actresses hair and how you can re-create their signature looks in 4 easy steps. I’m new to White Sands Hair Care, so I’m going to need to try this out!

Kat Dennings as “Max Black” styled by Celebrity Hairstylist Pixie Schwartz:

1. Apply a curl enhancing medium hold mousse to damp hair at roots and work through to ends – diffusing without a product can create frizz.

2. Divide hair into sections and spray on White Sands Liquid Texture Firm Hold Thermal Styling Spray focusing first

Brad Pitt for CHANEL No.5 Launches October 15th!

CHANEL is launching their first No.5 male fragrance which stars Brad Pitt as the face of the campaign! Slated for an October 15th launch — or at least that’s the date CHANEL released for their count down so I expect to at least see the packaging or know the top notes by then. I LOVE mens fragrances (even for myself) so curiosity is literally killing the cat over this launch.

All we know are the first words from the No.5 man, himself, Brad Pitt!

What’s the Mystery? (well besides what’s going on with Brad’s facial hair — is that a goatee?), just about everything about this launch. If you’re speculating over twitter, use the hashtag #CHANELN5. Otherwise stay tuned for more details on October 15th!

NYFW: “Strut” The Fashionable Mom Show Hosted by Wendy Williams

The biggest (non-fashion) trend of fashion week — besides iPads as cameras — moms! And this season they took the stage at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for an unforgettable runway show hosted by Wendy Williams.

The crowd which consisted of (and celebrated) real moms, including actress Lisa Rinna, who walked the runway with a sexy back and white cocktail dress and then later again in a gold sequin number.  There were a variety of other moms that walked as well with their children dressed in various outfits from sporty to fancy.

All the models confirmed…

NYFW: Reem Acra Spring/Summer 2013 Runway Show (+Video)

After seeing so many sportswear shows, to say I was ready for some award show red carpet worthy gowns is an understatement. Reem Acra brought it! Finding an unusual mix of inspiration including extracting the bold, abstract energy of Aaron Young’s famous series of motorcycle inspired works. The collection is powerful, with exceptional details that brings a modern femininity to evening wear. The tailoring is executed through laser cuts, vivid colors and uniquely juxtaposed elements. Makeup by the legendary, Pat McGrath, hair by Rutger Van der Heide.

Here’s my video from the shows finale:

Side note: You’ll never guess who was sitting near me in the front row… Paula Abdul! And because I was behind her walking out, fans kept asking if I’d take a picture with their phone and then someone asked if I wanted one — and you know what… why not?

Talk about being in the right place at the right time…

NYFW: PC Backstage + Front for the The Blonds s/s 2013 Runway Show with Amanda Lepore, Paris Hilton and Adam Lambert

Makeup by MAC, Hair by MorrocanOil, Nails by CND

There really is NO fashion show like The Blonds. It’s the show I look forward to the most every season — the energy, the outfits, the trannys… it’s so much fun! And this season the queen of this scene, Amanda Lepore was there!!!

There are 3 parts to the show — the backstage, the audience, and the runway show. Yes, all shows have all three but what sets this show apart is each of these elements could be an event in and of themselves.

The theme fore this years collection: “Psycho Beach Party”. Can you hear the JAWS theme song in your head? (You will soon.)

BACKSTAGE:

So, starting with backstage, Phillipe (The Blonds ultra sexy designer and creator) is prancing around getting beautified for he/her big moment — she’s also a model or rather the star of the show.

CND’s Kristina Estabrooks created the nails which consisted of an elaborate array of detailed designs including Shark Bites, skinny dip blue, and red caviar over CND Colour in Blackjack!

Seriously though, how ridic are the 3-D black shark nails???

MAC Cosmetics did the makeup focusing on the on the eyes . Working an exaggerated black liner below the lower lashes coupled with mega fake lashes on top for some extra drama.
