Last week, I hit up the OPI x Coca Cola launch party to celebrate the two powerhouses coming together for a nail polish collaboration. Launching with 9 nail lacquers inspired by Coca-Cola’s most popular beverages, the collection comes in a rainbow of nine shades inspired by Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, Sprite, Fanta Orange and Fanta Grape.
On Friday, I was so excited to join Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) for their 20th Annual Beauty Insiders’ Choice Awards hosted at the Waldorf Astoria. Joining an esteemed room of beauty insiders, we gathered to celebrate the most innovative beauty products as the winners across 36 categories (including skin care, cosmetics, hair care, fragrance and more) were announced.

Last month, Thierry Mugler launched their latest Alien fragrance, ALIEN Eau Extraordinaire. Combining three revelations floral (Tunisian neroli and Italian bergamot tea), woody (honey tone accents of the Tiare flower and Cashmeran, which has warm and woody characteristics) and amber (combining white amber with heliotrope); it’s the floral notes and hint of orange blossom from the Tunisian neroli thats arise the most for me.
Remember when I hosted the Caress Google+ Hangout with Caress Fabulistas June Ambrose and Lilliana Vazquez? Happy Mother’s Day everyone! I have a newfound tradition of every year on this day highlighting my mom’s favorite products. As we age our skin looses it’s elasticity, which can cause it to sag, wrinkles form and we lose a lot of moisture that can cause skin to look dull and dry.
This entire week I have been doing some major spring-cleaning. From boxing up my winter clothes to transitioning both my closet and beauty products for for spring. It’s also the time of year when I take down some of my heavier winter fragrances off of my vanity — I love my musky, woodsy and dare I say more masculine scents for the winter but come warm weather, I want to be showered in clean, pretty fragrances!
This year celebrates the 9th annual Makeup Show NYC and Pretty Connected was lucky enough to celebrate alongside fellow beauty insiders. This year, the show as bigger than ever bringing more brands, sponsors, and education. The weekend kicked off with The Makeup Show Gala followed by the sneak peek preview for a select few over the weekend.

Last night was probably one of the most exceptional events I’ve ever had the please of putting on. For new years my #1 resolution was to give back and be apart of a more sustainable industry and last night it all came full circle. In February, I received an email from the non-profit, Family-to-Family about wanted to drop off beauty products to homeless shelters for Valentine’s Day. Instead of doing a post about it, I offered to run a drive out of NYC and work with local beauty bloggers and brands to do a collection.
