It doesn’t get any better then a press trip to Tulum with Miraclesuit, a swim brand that boosts making you look 10lbs lighter. Which after letting my body hibernate all winter, I desperately needed. While I find statements like that generally gimmicky; upon putting their suit on and watching everything be lifted and sucked in, it was like I had my 20s body back! Unfortunately my old abs weren’t included. You can feel the quality in these suits.
Now for my confession. I basically corset my boobs on a daily basis and I am more apt to be in a sports bra, oversized top than a tight fitting dress or regular bra because I’m a 34DD and totally self conscious. To make bathing suit shopping that much more difficult, my big boobs are coupled with my long torso making it next to impossible for me to wear regular suits. In fact I’ve ordered so many XL bikini tops from every major department store and return 90% of them because I have so much under boob or I’m falling out of the cut and it’s next level unflattering. I feel like most contemporary brands do their XL for B/C cups with larger frames. I’m literally the opposite of that and need cup space. Moral of the story, bathing suit shopping for me is a nightmare. I honestly thought I could only do a string bikini’s with adjustable top and side straps and a large cup size. Until now.
This is the first brand where I feel so confident in the fit and can actually attempt a one piece. Words I never thought I’d say. Most flatten me, push down my boobs (not hot) and give me side boob. I’ve tried to do a size 10 – 12 to accommodate my chest but then the straps are too loose and so is the butt area. Being a size 2/4 on the bottom and size 12 on top doesn’t mesh well for most brands.
Everything changed on this trip with Miraclesuit. I’m obsessed with this maroon/white Habiskiss Crisscross Bra Top and Norma Jean Swim bottom two piece. My friend Megan from TFDiaries.com, was also on the press trip and somehow, although not shockingly picked the same suit as me, and it looks great on both of us (not to brag, but girl had just her 3rd baby and is rocking it).
We’re also both wearing the same Miraclesuit Hibiskiss Scarf Pareo cover-up scarf, Megan put it around her head and I tied mine around my neck for more of a tank-ini effect. We both opted for the high-waisted bottom but it also comes in smaller Mid Rise V-Kini Bottom, which I also picked up. The suit is also available in black and some other prints and I’m all over that!
When you find something that works for you, you stick with it. It kept everything lifted, supported and I haven’t felt that confident in a swim suit in forever. In fact if you follow the site that the last time I posted a bathing suit photo was 2 years ago when I did a People StyleWatch shoot and was working out like a maniac. I had muscles growing on top of my muscles at the time. Since my travel schedule has been so intensive, I have been wearing cover-ups every time I go poolside and I have been hiding my camera.
Our friends at Momtrends included us on this press trip and I’m so grateful to them for turning me onto this brand.
