I’m a huge fan of BITE Beauty fan, although I have to admit I was late to the game with the Agave Lip Mask, which was one the brands long time best sellers. So much so they recently expanded the line to include a new Agave Sugar Lip Scrub, and Agave Lip Balm, having the trio make up their Everyday Agave Lip Collection.
This line is your new essential daily lip care routine that smoothes and soothes for the ultimate hydration experience. All of them are formulated without parabens, sulfates or phthalates and contain agave nectar, which repairs and restores lips with its exfoliating and healing benefits. The Agave Lip Mask is available in 3 shades, clear, rose gold pearl and sheer candy apple red. I’ve only used the clear and I LOVE IT! I understand why it’s been such a best seller. You only need a little bit and it melts onto lips and is so hydrating without being heavy. The nourishing lip treatment that can be worn day or night for an instant boost of hydration with long-lasting shine. In addition to agave the mask includes nectar, jojoba oil, vanilla co2 extract, and triple the amount of the antioxidant trans-resveratrol found in red wine to keep lips smooth and hydrated.
The new Agave Sugar Lip Scrub is a great first step to exfoliating lips and can be used before the mask or balm to make lips that much more smooth and moist. When you exfoliate the dead skin cells off everything you put over it will absorb better and be more effective. This enzymatic scrub includes brown sugar and pineapple enzymes to leave lips feeling soft and smooth. The raw sugar and pineapple enzymes cleanse and gently exfoliate, while the agave syrup moisturizes and conditions. Simply rub all over the lips and add water to create a foaming scrub and allow the oils to soak into the skin overnight.
The Agave Lip Balm I was less impressed with. While it’s formulated to be a nourishing mix of vanilla and agave it doesn’t penetrate as well on my lips and found it almost waxy. I wanted to swipe it on my lips and for it to just absorb but I felt like I had to press really hard and work it in several times to get it on my lips. I gravitate more so to the mask since it just melts in.
