James and I are in the process of redoing our apartment which as you can imagine with how much we travel has been a long time coming! While we’ve tackled most of our storage issues we’re still deciding how we want to organize our shoes. I don’t think we realized how many we had until we cleared out all of the hiding places (under the bed, in the hallway, shoe racks, storage closet…) and as you can imagine have quite the collection! What I want is a way to properly store them so I see everything. We have so many amazing pairs that it also inspired me to start doing a regular feature on cool brands starting with Pikolinos!Based in Spain, Pikolinos does high quality, leather shoes for men and women. They identify with the Mediterranean lifestyle, with its light feel and splashes of color as well as it’s mellow, laid-back nature of the region. That’s just how I would describe their shoes, comfortable and cool with great personality, unique colors and style that still manage to be classic and timeless. They were founded in 1984 by Juan Peran who is still their current president and since then have launched in over 60 countries.
James and I are each wearing a pair, I’m wearing the Sneaker Yorkville style which has a side zipper so you don’t even have to bother with the laces. They are amazingly comfortable and great for travel. They come in a few different colors (a red-brown and black as well) and I want them all! James has the Faro style in Nautic, which is such a fun blue shade that’s like an illuminated navy. They are so cute on him and are the perfect marriage between sporty and formal making them easy to dress up or down.
Pikolinos shoes are available at retailers including Nordstrom and Zappos. Learn more at pikolinos.com
