For some weeks now, Dove launched a national campaign encouraging women to celebrate, love and take pride in their curly hair! Did you know that one in three women in the US has wavy to curly hair? (Myself included). Probably not since many of us hide it with the sweet temptation of blowing it out or flat ironing it to be straight and sleek. And I can tell you first hand why. Curly hair is hard! It gets unruly, curls drop and that next day hair is rarely something to celebrate. Not to mention the shine I’m able to achieve with a flat iron, I never see otherwise when I come out of the shower.
Well Dove heard us and in their continued commitment to promoting confidence in women they launched the Dove’s Advanced Hair Series Quench Absolute collection and #LoveYourCurls campaign, which urges women to love their curls and to help set the stage for the next generation to feel more confident about their curly hair. The Love Your Curls Film powerfully illustrates this relationship that young girls have with their curls (which can often be a source of anxiety, frustration and dislike) and what women can do to help inspire future generations love their curly hair.
Fight against dry, course, and curly hair with Dove’s Advanced Hair Series Quench Absolute collection with four-part system to cleanse, nourish and treat hair, providing 4X more defined natural curls using protein, nutrients and precious Brazilian Buriti Oil. The line consists of Quench Absolute Ultra Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner, which increasing manageability for a smooth finish, Quench Absolute Supreme Crème Serum, the first ‘on-the-go’ leave-in treatment for curls, and the Quench Absolute Intensive Restoration Mask, delivering intense nourishment for a smooth and shiny finish. And it’s awesome! If I can suggest one product, it’s the serum (and then the mask if your hair is dry). It does an amazing job fighting frizz and defining your curl so they look healthy and hydrated. It’s lightweight so you can use it alone or with your regular routine whether it be a gel or otherwise.
