Backstage at Mara Hoffman, the hair stole the show! With an inspiration of the California girl at Joshua Tree, outdoors absolved in the chic by dryness elements of the desert, Nick Irwin, CATWALK by TIGI Global Creative Director created a unique messy, deconstructed braid that had even me wanting to get extensions to pull this look off. The key to creating that texture came from using CATWALK by TIGI Transforming Dry Shampoo on dry hair and blasting it with the blow dryer to create that matte texture.
The hair was beautifully offset by the amazing Alice Lane for Maybelline. Ever so creative and conscious of the girl on a budget, she created a soft, natural look that highlighted and contoured the skin beautifully, opposite a strong brow sing Maybelline’s new Eye Studio Master Shape Brow Pencil and groomed them with Great Lash Mascara in Clear. To contour the face she used Maybelline’s Eye Studio Color Tattoo Metal 24HR Cream-Gel Shadow (I love when makeup artists use products creatively!). And then applied Dream Bouncy Blush in Coffee Cake to the cheekbones for the slightly bronzed, early look. And finished off with Color Sensational The Buffs in Maple Kiss on the lips followed by Baby Lips Lip Balm in Quenched.
The nails, created by Alicia Torello, went nude creating a mannequin like effect with Maybelline’s Color Show Nail Lacquer in Better in Buff.
