Lets just say it. Breast Cancer is scary. And not always genetic and I’m going to assume everyone that’s reading this probably has known someone that’s been diagnosed (or multiple women), I know I have! The women in this photograph above, my goodness are they inspiring! All survivors of breast cancer, you may recognize the woman in the middle, E! News’ Giuliana Rancic. Joined by the co-founders and creators of CureDiva.com, Ester Gofer and Efrat Roman, I joined the trio for lunch to learn about this new website.
CureDiva is a revolutionary one-stop-shop e-commerce site for women diagnosed with breast cancer — and for all stages of the disease. Harnessing a high-tech community and shoping site, this site addresses all women’s breast cancer lifestyle needs and their mission is to help women facing breast cancer better their lives with style. I couldn’t even imagine where to begin if I got that heartbreaking news that I was diagnosed, and it was that exact feeling for what prompted the birth of this site. Consider it a resource for all things breast cancer and something you should explore further if you or someone you know has been effected by the disease. From education, to forums, to needs, the site covers it all. It’s dedicated to helping women maintain their lifestyles while fighting for their lives.I really commend Giuliana Rancic for going so public with her breast cancer and encouraging women to get those mammograms and do regular breast exams. As someone who didn’t carry the gene and had no idea she was destined to become a carrier she has done an amazing job in raising awareness and has helped so many women. The last time I had the pleasure of chatting with her was during fashion week, mere weeks before she announced to the public she was diagnosed. Her journey and all she’s been through in the gap of time is so inspiring.
