I don’t usually cover mens but if GQ is going to collaborate with Gap, for the sake of my boyfriend (and men everywhere), I had to attend the launch. When it comes to anything mens style, GQ is my Bible. GQ enlisted their 2012 Best New Menswear Designers to create a limited edition collection for the Gap. The collaboration features Todd Snyder, Ian Velardi, Mark Mcnairy, Ovadia & Sons, BLK Denim, and Saturdays. I’m most familiar with Saturdays since their surf shop is one of my favorite places to hang out in Nolita and grab a cup of coffee (their store has a great backyard and their baristas are top notch).
The Cadet Parka ($178) by Todd Snyder, was probably one of my favorite pieces from the collection.
{If I take the shirt fitted in the back, it could fit… right?}
I ended up purchasing the Saturdays Slip Fit Oxford ($60) and Pom Pom Beanie ($25). Although the oxford we technically for James, I’m considering going back for another and getting it tailored for myself. The beanie I’m only pretending is for him, I was desperate for this collection to be unisex.
Launching all over the U.S. (plus some international locales) at select Gap stores and gap.com. Visit gap.com for more information.
