Miami Swim Diaries

setai-miami-beach-lolli-swim-yandy.com-Blank-NYCAs someone who’s used to a healthy dose of ridiculousness and amazing experiences, last weekend schooled me in fun and was one for the books thanks to Kyboe! watches.  My friend Melissa and I flew down to Miami with the brand for Miami Swim, where they debuted the new collection of their watches down the runway.  (You can read all about the show and watches HERE).kyboe

Townhouse Hotel

We flew in Friday afternoon, checking into the Townhouse Hotel, which is a humble boutique hotel perfectly located on 20th and Collins next to the Miami Swim venue. With beach and rooftop access the rooms were small but comfortable and the location could not have been more prime.

While we were checking in Adrienne Bailon was helping launch the Jose Cuervo’s partnership with the 6 Shore Road by Pooja for this limited edition collaborative swimsuit she’s wearing above. Inspired by by the vibrant colors of the Authentic Jose Cuervo Margarita range and the iconic blue agave plant the vibrant one piece is so hot!!! It’s available for purchase at www.6ShoreRoad.com.

On Saturday, we woke up and headed to the W Hotel for the Yandy.com swim lounge. For anyone not familiar they have amazing lingerie and swimsuits at affordable prices. Above How cute are these models below!?! Also if you saw my snapchat you know I’m obsessing over this cat swim suit below and the fun print of the other suit. I like that they come out with a print and then offer it in such a range of styles.

We then hit up the LABB Aesthetic Beauty Bar lounge, which was right next door also at the W Hotel. LABB was created by Joey New York founder Joey Chancis and her partner, Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Danielle Smith. It’s an injectable-only business model, meaning they only do Botox and fillers and doing so their team are “masters of one particular concept,” rather than a variety of procedures and products traditionally offered by plastic surgeons and dermatologists. By honing in on just one product, as opposed to a suite of products and procedures, treatments at The LABB are not only client-specific, but also less expensive than traditional aestheticprocedure facilities. botox-cosmetic-labb-miami

They were obviously not doing Botox at the lounge but were offering consultations and also demonstrating how fillers would look by contouring with Anastasia makeup – basically showing guests what it would look like using makeup instead of the real thing. I’ve interviewed a lot of experts in the field over the years but their consultation was unparalleled. They weren’t pushy, they took my concerns seriously — mainly I don’t do injectables because for starters I’m still young and take great care of my skin and second I have the worlds smallest forehead so numbing mine with Botox could cause me to need an eye lift if I went crazy with it. LABB made me feel so comfortable and talked about preventative options as well as what I should never let a doctor touch since my forehead concerns are valid. The entire experience was so educational and they hooked me up with some Obagi products which I’m so excited to try! Everyone in the beauty world raves about the line!

After our stint at the W Hotel we moved on to the penthouse of the 1 Hotel where Bollare hosted a beautiful suite with Glamour Magazine. They did hair, makeup and nail touch ups as well as upped my fashion game. They had so many amazing brands on display including LeSportsac, Manebi, Abaco, Vans, Uniform by True&Co and must-have beauty products like Kate Somerville and Fresh.

I picked up these white Blank NYC Short Overalls which we had “@prettyconnected” embroidered on them at the event — so cute, right? I also scored this Life’s A Beach hat and a blacket/towel from Abaco Beach Company  — both so necessary and items I forgot to pack for Miami. See full style post for the look below look HERE.

We then had a late lunch beach-side at the Setai with Kyboe Watches. I rocked the Chronograph Silicone Strap Watch Style all weekend, it’s so bada$$! After some much needed laying out we headed back to the Townhouse Hotel, and got ready for the big night to come. Starting with a party bus to Marc Bell, the CEO of Kyboe mansion for a private cooked meal by Todd English!

Now when I say party bus, I mean club on wheels. We packed 30+ people onto this bus complete with a DJ, stripper pole and strobe lights and danced (while popping bottles) all the way to Boca. There Marc Bell and his wife Jennifer greeted us and had a private dinner waiting for us.

Reunited with Todd English!

marc-bell-house-andy-warhol-campbell-soupI hosted an event with Todd a million years ago, and it was so nice to be reunited on this exquisite property. Marc’s house has probably the biggest private Warhol collection in the world. His compilation of street art as well is something to be admired. As is the pool and waterfall in the backyard, basketball court, life size chess board, game/arcade room and Star Trek voyager room, which opens into a private movie theatre. I’ll just link you to the forbes.com article of the tour of his house so you can fully appreciate the ridiculousness. Which is only furthermore ridiculous when Marc told me he’s building a better house, which is like this one but “fun”. Which is rather difficult to comprehend unless he plans on buying Disney Land – which would actually not surprise me.

The only thing more obsession worthy then the watches, is his wife, Jennifer who had me at her Hello Kitty collection – she loves her because she doesn’t have a mouth and smiles from her eyes. That pretty much sums up her awesomeness. That and Marc and her match outfits everyday – literally and watches. Every Day! Serious relationship goals with these two!

Sunday Melissa and I spent the day at Soho House, starting with a private brunch with designer Jeanine HSU For NIIN and Monday Swimwear (photoed above). Here’s a quick glance below of some of the NIIN jewelry collection — so many beautiful statement pieces!

We then hung out at the pool until it was time to head to the airport and come to terms that this may be the most extravagant weekend of our lives. Or at the very least set the bar very high.

Thank you Kyboe for such an amazing weekend!
