Essie Launches Bridal Collection and Gel Setter

It’s been a polish-filled spring for Essie! In addition to recently launching six new shades as part of their colorful spring 2015 collection, they launched a Bridal 2015 collection ($8.50 each). Just in time for wedding season, the six piece collection includes a range of light neutrals to pinks and reds.

With a bridal inspired cap the shades include:

tying the knotie – sheer floral pink

hubby for dessert – sheer candied lilac smooth

worth the wait – coral-kissed pink

brides to be – soft-spoken caramel

brides no grooms – bachelorette-bright pink

happy wife happy life – radiant red orange

My favorites for wearability were Brides No Grooms and Happy Wife Happy Life (pictured below on nails) since they dried quicker then the sheers and had full coverage with 2 coats.

Essie is also launching a Gel Setter top coat which is designed to make any manicure pop to look plumper and shinier and more gel-like (without the LED or UVB lights). Pictured above, it definitely mimics the in-salon gel finish but wears and comes off like a regular top coat. The Gel Setter will be available starting May 19th for $10 on essie.com.

essie spring 2015 Blossom Dandy and Petal Pushers shades

Lastly, if you haven’t checked out their spring collection, get on it! It’s so colorful and fun that I ended up taking two of the shades, Blossom Dandy (light pastel blue with a hint of mint green) and Petal Pushers (slate with subtle rad and blue undertones) with me to Peru. This collection marks the first collaboration with designer, Rebecca Minkoff who recently joined the essie team as their global color designer.
