This is probably the first Memorial Day weekend where I stayed in NYC and I’m so glad I did. For starters, everyone else escaped so the city was calm and the weather was perfect. Saturday, I hit up BeautyCon, which made it’s debut appearance in NYC. Partnering with Elle Magazine the event took over the large space at Pier 36 and split the room between panelist speakers and kiosks where beauty and fashion brands were on display. BeautyCon is a fashion and beauty summit for the internet’s most influential beauty and fashion icons and their ever-growing number of fans. I had heard about BeautyCon in the past but with it always being in LA and London I had no idea what to expect.
Guests had the opportunity to participate in panel discussions and Q&A’s with some of the top Digital Content Creators like Kandee Johnson, Dulce Candy, StilaBabe9 and speakers like Joe Zee and Whitney Port. Hundreds of content creators walked the floor and it was an opportunity for fans and digital influencers to network, and talk industry news, and participate in interactive presentations with these beauty icons. It was also a great space to learn about new products and either score them for free or purchase at a discount. BareMinerals, Tarte, NYX Cosmetics, boohoo.com, Crown Brush and more.
I ran into some of my beauty and fashion homies like Trop Rouge, Flashes of Style, Miss Whoever You, BeautyStat are and my loves at DBA and found ourselves in the VIP area downing the most awesome wine to go packs — have you heard of Stack Wines? It’s like sippie cup wines!
