Preview: S/S 2012 White by Vera Wang for David’s Bridal

After an impressive Fall/Winter 2011 collection of White by Vera Wang for David’s Bridal back in July, I was curious to see what the Spring/Summer 2012 collection had to offer; and let me tell you – it did not disappoint. I was greeted with a stunning view of 2 styles that were created to mirror 2 (of the 3!) dresses that Kim Kardashian wore for her wedding to Kris Humphries.

Gorgeous and dramatic are two words I would use to describe the entire collection. Staying true to their ethos of affordable dresses, this collection ranges from $500 – $1,500.

And don’t forget about the bridesmaids! The flattering hammered silk style offered to compliment the collection comes in 9 different shades and costs less than $200.

Putting the icing on the proverbial cake, White by Vera Wang also offers accessories, including shoes, headpieces, hair combs and sashes. It is hard to believe they are so affordable considering materials like silk and charmeuse are a main ingredient.

“It gives me great pride to be able to bring my designs to more women through White by Vera Wang.” said the designer, “The collaboration with David’s Bridal is the perfect marriage of our abilities, both from a business and creative perspective.” The bridal queen is also taking her designs to Zales where she is creating a Love by Ver Wang line of engagement and wedding bands. You never know where Vera Wang might pop up – but one thing is for sure, the designs will be tasteful and elegant.  I for one am glad she is making it affordable.
