BeautifulPeople.com, the dating and social networking site dismissed roughly 5,000 members due to complaints that these members had gained weight. Apparently they should have thought twice before putting up those holiday pictures, which showed they had packed on a few pounds.
According to the New York Daily News, BeautifulPeople.com Founder, Robert Hintze believes, “As a business, we mourn the loss of any member, but the fact remains that our members demand the high standard of beauty be upheld. Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to our business model and the very concept for which BeautifulPeople.com was founded”
And that’s what you get for joining a site that accepts new applicants only if existing members deem you attractive enough.
