Last year Diptyque launched their collection 34 scents reminiscent of the very first shop of Diptyque’s founders Christiane Gautrot, Desmond Knox-Leet and Yves Coueslant, who have always displayed their textile creations alongside limited editions of objects unearthed here and there. This season, Diptyque has added three new 34 Collection eaux de parfums, one limited edition Essences Insensées Eau de Parfum, the La Proveresse Ceramic Candle, and three limited edition glass candle holders.
If you’re looking for the antique feel of iconic perfume bottles, the limited edition Essences Insensées Eau de Parfum is boudoir ready. Based on the Jasmine late harvest, this fragrance is made up of a thousand flowers and does not exist anywhere else.
Equally unique in beauty and scent, the 34 Collection eaux de parfum includes three hand blown glass bottles inspired by the wild sense of freedom and embarking on a journey not knowing where you will arrive. The glass is plunged into ice water so the thermal shock starts to crack the bottle. The stoppers, made from malachite that have been recycled and processed with precious metals resemble a wall of the boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain. The collection is available in Opôné EDP, a flower scent with a hint of saffron, a little cumin and guaiac wood with leather, spoke and liquorice accents, Benjoin Bohème EDP, an eccentric scent produced sustainably in Laos, and accompanied by angelica seeds, sandalwood, styrax and patchouli, and Eau Mage EDP, made of gender-neutral scents, with sensual amber accents, are combined with mandarin zest, a touch of rose, spices and musk.
If Diptyque perfume isn’t your signature scent, maybe their iconic candles will tantalize your senses. The La Proveresse Ceramic Candle incorporates the woody scent of fig trees and the rustic notes of the south, presented inside a ceramic pot hand-crafted in Portugal. As if Diptyque’s candles weren’t beautiful enough, two limited edition candle holders are available, designed true to the brand’s graphic heritage: one with a metal copper finish with a wood base and the other hand-blown glass with a concrete base.
