Sephora House of Beauty Sephoria LA Trip

In a world of BeautyCon, Indie Beauty, FoundersMade, Ipsy… does the world need another beauty show? The answer is YES, if Sephora is rolling out the red carpet. Last night I got a preview of the first Sephora House of Beauty SEPHORIA beauty event which takes place this weekend at the Majestic Downtown in LA. Featuring endless stands of brands carried by Sephora gifting samples, and offering one of a kind beauty experiences and endless photo opps. And the talent!!!!!! Jen Atkin, Dr. Dennis Gross, Chrissy Teigen (for BECCA), Charlotte Tilbury, Mario Dedivanovic, aka @makeupbymario (for Laura Mercier), Dr. Murad all offering masterclasses… see full list HERE.

There’s an outdoor space featuring Glamglow, It Cosmetics, Viktor+Rolf and Gucci fragrances and the giant La Mer bottle you can go inside of (it’s insane!), then go inside the Majestic for 3 floors of brand activation and mini shops, and master classes.

Last night was a dream. I met two of my all time favorite designers, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren aka Viktor&Rolf to celebrate their latest fragrance collection, Magic!

As Beauty Magicians, Viktor & Rolf believe everyone needs a little magic in their lives and to help spread the magic they created a collection of six magic potions – fragrance illusions with a magical twist. The whole event was stunning, hosted at Academy Mansion, an actual Mansion in NYC with magician Dan White levitating people and showing us the impossible, the whole night was magic. In the magical world the impossible is possible. The six scents are:viktorrolf-magic-fragrance-dirty-trick-liquid-diamonds-sage-spell-sparkling-secret-dancing-roses-lavender-illusion

Dirty Trick – Classified as an Oriental Leathery scent, it’s a unique mix of Iris and Ink Accord, and was possibly my favorite of the collection!

Liquid Diamonds –  The most floral of the collection it’s inspired by peonies, which like diamonds has many facets. Blending Peony accord with pink pepper, Bulgarian rose, patchouli and musks it kind of has a floral powdery effect that makes me think this is what laundry smells like in heaven.

Sage Spell – Casting a spell with sage and Absinthe the fragrance sparkles with notes of pink grapefruit essences, pink pepper and peppermint essences.
